Greenup County 85 Russell 82
Russell isn't going to just lay down and be rolled over. Dodd is going to use every possible way to find victory. Skaggs is a proven player and his stats are enough to shut any of the skeptics up. Russell has one thing that won't change and thats hard work. Losing the "dream team" from last year put a hurting on the team as a whole leaving not much experience coming into this year but I think it's early and I think some people might be surprised what Dodd will pull out his hat. Do I see some new faces on the team in the future... possibly some football players?

Post 76 Summer Season
Well tonight Ashland Post 76 finished its season with a loss to Danville. I just wanted to say congrads to the coaches and players for the endless hours that they put in allowing them to make it to the final four in the state tournement. Each year this is what many teams start out for, the "final four". After a rocky start for the team they came on very strong as the summer progressed on. Paul Lewis does an amazing job with the kids.Good luck and God Bless to the players and their families as they now venture off into the world of college. :thumb:

Pitcher Workouts
Where would be the best place to purchase these bands from? And what all bands would I need for pitcher's.
-
Pitcher Workouts
What about bands? Some people say they are wonderful, where as others will tell you that they do nothing but tear up your arm. What are your thoughts on this?
-
Pitcher Workouts
What are some of the best ways to strenghten pitcher's arms without tearing them up?

North Laurel 8 Greenup Co 4
A little suprised by the score but, baseball starts with pitching and if your pitcher is not throwing strikes and walking people it makes that much harder for your team to win. Good luck to Wright tonight as GC is on the bubble. :thumb:

Well excuse me, I would hate to be wrong one time in my life.

Greenup Co 3 Boyd County 2
There is a difference in bunting your 3 or 4 batter like Boyd tried to do where as Greenup bunted there 6-7-8 batter's. I watched a lot of Boyd games this year and i'm not sure I ever remember watching Blanton bunt, but in watching many Greenup games, I believe his name is Rister bunted almost everytime he got up to bat because that was his only way to get on (with all do respect to him). He is the one that got the suicide squeeze down.

Yes, and when that ball hit the net it was still rising. But very true post. :thumb:

But when the coach does call on them in a certain situation, the player most be able to preform and Boyd's players did not do this last night. For example with bases loaded and big hitter at the plate it is his responisiblity to knock in some of those runs which did not happen last night. That is on the player's shoulders.

You would think that at least one of there coaches would have figured out that they could have knocked Heinman out of the game if they would have only taken pitches. He was throwing that first pitch in there for a strike but then most of the rest of his pitches were in the upper part of the strike zone with Boyd players swinging at them poping the ball up and he struggled to throw his curve ball for a strike. :creepy:

Ashland 6 Lewis Co 2
Well looks like it is either going to be Greenup County or Ashland this year after Greenup knocking off Boyd 3-2. Should be a decent ragional championship game. Who pitched for Ashland today?

Greenup Co 3 Boyd County 2
They brought him in after Bowling in the 5th I do believe, and he gave up one run on a suicide squeeze. Boyd was not very patient at the plate all night and swung at a lot of balls above the hands.

East/West All Star Team
Does anyone know when the East/West All Star Team roster will be released?

16th Region Predictions for the next few years.
Russell's pitching staff should be decent next year with DeHoff, Hamilton, and Dillion but there D-fence might be a little down after losing five seniors that started this year for them. But on the bright side for them they did have two freshman that started for them(Alleshouse, Rice). They should continue to grow as players and be very rounded players by there senior year.

Boyd County 6 Ashland 1
In just a few short years i believe that Rose Hill will be a school to watch out for. From the beginning of this season till the end there team has improved greatly. The same with Lewis County.
