Big time win for GC.

Hieneman must have been the real deal.

Congrats to the new GC coaching staff on reaching the region finals.

Hieneman pitched out of a bases loaded jam early in the game and then Boyd never seemed to be able to put much together after that. Hieneman is a good lefty with good command. He is tough when he is on.

Did Perkins throw for Boyd?

They brought him in after Bowling in the 5th I do believe, and he gave up one run on a suicide squeeze.

Boyd was not very patient at the plate all night and swung at a lot of balls above the hands.

Boyd was not very disciplined at the plate, Hieneman had great command even with the tight strike zone. Great win for Greenup in a great overall game.

Congrats to Greenup Co. on the win. Will Wright pitch against Ashland in the championship game?

Congrats to GCHS on the win and good luck in the finals. I knew that GCHS would be a tough one for BC but I honestly thought that BC would come out on top.

Also, congrats to the BC Lions on another great season. :thumb:

Congrats to Coach Logan and his boys, alot of them have played summer ball with him for many years. If its not the RAMS go 63rd

Where / when is the championship ? GO GC ! LB

Tomorrow at 7 / @ Morehead State

BC was flat out OUTCOACHED and did not execute well in key situations. Good luck Greenup on the rest of your season.

You would think that at least one of there coaches would have figured out that they could have knocked Heinman out of the game if they would have only taken pitches. He was throwing that first pitch in there for a strike but then most of the rest of his pitches were in the upper part of the strike zone with Boyd players swinging at them poping the ball up and he struggled to throw his curve ball for a strike. :creepy:

That is all a matter of opinion I guess....But your opinion does seem to be the opinion of a lot of people that I ran into today, especially the Greenup Co Fans. They basically said the same thing you did.

I've heard it from alot of BC fans and players as well. It seemed as though Logan was one step ahead of them all night. The BC players seem to not have any idea about situational hitting. Ans from what I hear, it isn't stressed in practice either. I saw players in the dugout shaking their heads at certain calls that Maynard made during the game. Players must be confident in their coach, and I didn't see that out of the BC players.
