MBWC41 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Boyd wins the 64th District tonight with a 6-1 win over Ashland. Score was relayed to me by phone so don't hold me to it but I know Boyd won the game.
MBWC41 Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Some what of an interesting fact... Boyd played Ashland in the 64th championship game last year and also won that game by the score of 6-1.
CountyPride Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Good win for the Lions...Now we need to buckle down and get prepared for the Region. Applebees or Bust.
16th62nd Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Very close game until the 7th. Boyd was up 2-1 and scored 4 times
BleedRed Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Does anyone know who pitched for either team? Moore started for BC and Rigsby for Ashland...
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Congrats to the Lions, should be a great regional tournament.
tcat25 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 This was just a great game between 2 big rivals. Both teams played well, Bowling for Boyd was huge. It was a very close game and i look for both teams to do well in the regional tournament. Good luck to both teams!
oldrambler Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Congrats to BCHS and good luck to both teams in the regional.
kingofthejungle Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Bowling for BC over the past 3 games is 10 for 12 with a bunch of RBI's. Huge tonight....Congrats on MVP TEDDY!!!!!
CountyPride Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Who made All Tournament team in the 64th? BOYD COUNTY: Greg Bowling (MVP); Justin Moore; Tyler Perkins (BC); Odis Sturgill (BC). ASHLAND: Kris Bias; Fields Davis; Robby Wilcox. FAIRVIEW: Matt Thompson; Robbie Harris. ROSE HILL CHRISTIAN: Nick Messer; Doug Wagenaar. There is another forum already open discussing the fact of Rose Hill getting 2 spots on the all tournament team, with no hits and no runs in 1 game. Rose Hill will definetly be good in the future though.
gametime00 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Rose Hill will definetly be good in the future though. In just a few short years i believe that Rose Hill will be a school to watch out for. From the beginning of this season till the end there team has improved greatly. The same with Lewis County.
CountyPride Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Congratulations to the Lions on their District Win
