cvillecat
Boyd County's lefty Tyler Perkins signed to play his college baseball at King College located in Bristol Tenn. King finished 31-18 last season & played in the NAIA Appalachian Athletic Conference but will move to D-II for the 2008-09 season. Perkins finsihed his Senior year at Boyd with a 0.83 era and limited his opponents to a .151 batting average. Congratulations to Tyler. It's great to see a kid get the chance to live out his dream and get a quality education while doing so.

bobbyearl
Congrats to Perk, Quality left hander who came into his own this season and got better as the season went on. I will agree with the article in the paper that if he continues to work hard his best baseball is ahead of him. Nasty off speed stuff to go along with a mid-80"s fastball. Still would have liked to have seen Perk get a start in the regional tournament.

firebird
Congratulation to another of the finer kids and family that I have gotten to know the last few years. Tyler will do well at King College. Again congratulations and best of luck with the remainder of your summer season with the Hounds.
