Kentucky Transfer Portal/Roster Tracker 2026

The same reason Perry left, and Noah is fixing to leave. They don't want to be buried in the bench when they feel like they can play. So go somewhere else where they can play. He should have stayed at Belmont, he will not survive in the SEC, and if he's fine being buried on the bench, then by all means go to UK, but if he thinks he can play he should have stayed where he was.

This! Quite honestly with how the transfer portal is. Going to the smaller schools, go get a lot of minutes. Then if you go out there and bal out, you will get your chance to possibly transfer to UK and be in a position to then play.

The amount of people online worked up about this is wild to me. He’s was the third or fourth best player on a team that nobody enjoyed watching go 22-14. Do I trust Pope can find someone better? Not s

Exactly. Rule number one - go to a school where have very high confidence you will start or at worst be in the top 7 rotation. Earn NIL by on court play.

I wonder what the NIL pay difference is between somewhere like Belmont and end of the bench of somewhere like UK.  The reality is the great majority of this level of player are not going to get enough NIL to last a lifetime so will need to figure out a long term job plan.  Are they better off hopping from place to place to place not establishing roots or loyalty to chase an extra buck or being the hero at a smaller program potentially getting a meaningful degree and establishing relationships that could lead to opportunities in the future? I love UK as much as the next person, but I have no loyalty to the merry-go-round of players that come and go.  Purdue was led by four year players. That is so rare now, but I bet the Purdue faithful will make sure their guys are taken care of in the further

Let's try to keep this thread on topic about actual player movement or roster changes.

Feel free to start another thread to discuss various aspects of the portal and NIL.

I think differently when dealing with KY boys playing at UK.  Chances are if Noah transfers, he will take an NIL hit.  Players/agents can use the NIL to create their own endorsements.  Looking at Noah, he had a few deals with Banks/Car washes that were true NIL deals.  He won't get those anywhere else.

History says that KY boys who play at UK (whether they are a star or not) will be taken care of long after their career is over.

Does anyone know for sure or have a guess on what Noah, Jasper and Moreno each made in NIL this past year?

Well at least we know we have one PG on the roster for next year. If Lowe returns, then we would actually have two PG's which is something we didn't have this year.

Also I am kind of interested in Mo Williams will be joining the staff. He currently is the head coach at Jackson State University. His son Mason was committed to there, before backing out and now signing with the Cats. Makes you wonder, if the reason he backed out was because it is a package deal for his dad to come here too.

Kentucky will hire Jackson State head coach Mo Williams as an assistant under Mark Pope, multiple sources tell KSR...

I hope UK gets some kids from Miami Ohio.

I think Thomas More will also have some in the portal.

Kentucky guard Jasper Johnson will enter transfer portal per KSR.

No surprise. I wish him well, I have no doubt that he'll have some crazy good games down the line.

Johnson’s people reached out to Louisville a couple weeks ago.

Good luck.

Roster decimation commences. I've given up on trying to keep track. I've nearly completely lost interest in the college game.
