That was sort of my point about all these coaching vacancies hiring between now and early April, a hire from either one of these schools wasn't made in March and may not happen until mid May or later. You may know this as well, what months were Maco Girls Coach Fite and past BC coaches Hinson and Reed hired? I guess you don't necessarily have to have a coach in place to play or not play summer ball in June.

As much as I hate it the Big 10 is owning college football and now college basketball.

Mason and Bracken are both known to make late hires with their basketball coaches. Please correct me if wrong(because probably am,lol) but it seems like Kirk at Maco and King at BC were both late summer hires when they were made.

Would Morguson consider returning to GRC? He would be in the starting 5, I would assume, with Gay,Lykins,Johnson and Thomas.

Or Mason County, has more ties to the Maysville area, I believe.

Is he an assistant coach? KHSAA lists a Brent Perry as Head Coach. They had a really good year last year and return everyone. Seems like his son is playing at UPike, may be wrong.

Kentucky High School Mr. Basketball, Dad and Grandfather played at UK. That's more than enough for Pope or even Cal and Rick if they were still coaching UK.

I so agree, Moco is loaded(Jarvis,Terry, Sears,Rowlett, Hatton, Routt, etc.) and ready to make a run in the State Tournament, ala GRC, with Tyce's senior year coming up. Anything less would be a disappointment, that's a lot of pressure for even a Coach with 20 years experience. Hope it works out, always like to see a young beginning Coach succeed, but if it doesn't Moco doesn't have the track record for patience, lol.

If it indeed came down to Lieberman and Stewart, would be interesting to know the final choice process.

His 1st,2nd and 3rd tasks are keeping Tyce,Terry and Sears in Mt. Sterling for the coming seasons.

I call it the Mark Pope/UK version of DEI, lol., getting Kentucky high school players. Think Jasper,Noah,Moreno,Perry,Potter, Tow.

I look for Pope to add Jake Feldhaus as his first freshman portal transfer soon.

I was under the impression Hager went back to Boyle from GRC to focus entirely on football. Isn't he a really good tight end or wide receiver? Has Boyle changed basketball coaches recently to entice him to stick with basketball at Boyle or why would he have left for GRC to begin with?

Did Hager play basketball last year?

Saw where he asked for his release, almost certain he ends up at UK now.

I think people are way off in their Mason/Bracken coach predictions.
