Open Job: Male

Featured Replies

Do we know if this is the same situation that Coach Spader at BG went though last year.  He retired at Christmas break due to having enough years in education, but had to formally apply to be head coach and had to wait 3 months before rejoining as head coach.

  • Found this out today....  Chris Wolfe Brian Weinrich Jeff Walz (U of L women's coach) were all in the same homeroom at Highlands HS.

  • JCPS just finally got around to getting Male turf for their field and their school's operating in a second-hand building. They don't broadcast their own games because they don't have internet out in t

  • That would be sad for Male to move to 5A JCPS is an unmitigated disaster in all aspects. But this is a subject for another day.

Wolfe will be the next head coach at St. Xavier (Louisville) in my humble opinion.

The word around the "water cooler" was that he is very much "anti-Private."

If I was Male, I would call Atherton's coach.

Maybe He could make his announcement along with Lane Kiffin's.

Nino has said he wouldn't want to leave Atherton to go to another JCPS school. "Why leave something I've built to go somewhere else for the same pay?" I have a feeling that John Kelsey will be giving Haddix and Sean Thompson from PT a call..............

I would not label this as a surprise, would anyone else? The only job currently open with the same type of expectations seems to be at St X as others have stated. If X is off the table and he wanted to be a head coach next season where is a realistic spot?

Is this something Justin Haddix would be interested in? Maybe wishcasting here, lol.

That would be very ironic considering his daughter went to Whitefield Academy.

I couldn't believe he would leave Boyle for the Big City. He has the Rebels rolling and 4A is theirs for the forseeable future.

AWWWWW Snap!!!!

Dan McDonald from Providence is somebody else I could see being the next Coach. He was Wolfe's DC before being hired at Providence.

Coach Haddix's wife Melissa is an ER doc at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. Not to downplay Justin's job, but I think we all know that in all reality, hers is probably the job that takes more precedence for their family.

The Louisville area certainly has quite a few hospitals around, so there are some options there, but it definitely seems like she'd have to be interested in making a pretty significant move as far as her career is concerned to uproot her practice and move to another hospital system. Additional to that, I'm about 99.9% positive that McDowell Hospital is not a teaching hospital, while most of the hospitals around Louisville are...so that really changes things up in terms of going from practicing within a "doctors professional group" setting to practicing in a teaching hospital, where doctors groups oftentimes aren't really as much of a thing. Plus dealing with med students and resident physicians is a whole other ball of wax for a doctor, especially in an ER setting.

McDowell Hospital's ER is a Level III trauma center, and Louisville's only hospitals with specific trauma designations for their ER's are UofL downtown and Norton Children's, which are both Trauma I. Moving from Trauma III to Trauma I would definitely be a sea change to begin with, but there are other hospitals around town in the Ville that would probably offer some similar scenery to what she sees at McDowell.
