Dan McDonald from Providence is somebody else I could see being the next Coach. He was Wolfe's DC before being hired at Providence.

I'd assume several from the Wolfe coaching tree will show some interest in this one...these three, in particular:

Dan McDonald - Former Wolfe DC, current Providence, IN head coach
Marc Clark - Current Wolfe OC, former McCracken County & Hopkinsville head coach
Keith Eckloff - Former Wolfe assistant, former Seneca head coach, current Manual head coach

  • That would be sad for Male to move to 5A JCPS is an unmitigated disaster in all aspects. But this is a subject for another day.

Male seems like the caliber of job that has the potential to make Brandon Smith consider moving from Bowling Green to Louisville.

have a feeling that John Kelsey will be giving Haddix

Haddix with Male's resources would change the Big 3 and 6A landscape for sure!

JCPS just finally got around to getting Male turf for their field and their school's operating in a second-hand building. They don't broadcast their own games because they don't have internet out in their pressbox and JCPS isn't willing to spend the money to run it out there. They wouldn't even do it while the field was being renovated for the new turf. I don't think I'm going out on much of a limb saying that Male's resources are well below whatever resources Haddix has at Boyle.

Who is X looking at, @Tigerpride94?

Wish I knew. Probably Nick Baisch since he is on staff and has head coaching experience plus also works at school.

What is Powell’s status these days? Continue on staff or no?

He still is coach but I don't know his future for next season.

JCPS coaches are some of most dedicated and lowest paid (hourly wage equivalent) in the profession.  Most Ky high school coaches in all sports are driven by intangibles that passively consider the dollars.  Thanks coaches for what you have done for our youth.  Special thanks, Coach Wolfe, you are a true winner and I know your recently deceased father did and forever will beam with pride for the legacy you have left in the thousands of young men you coached.

The resources are the JCPS pool of talent that would be flowing into Male. I didn’t say FACILITIES.

It's not that simple in a magnet school.

So true, and most out of Jefferson Co. do not understand that.
