Does the Bishop have to give the ok for HAll of Fames at all schools in the diocese? My uncle is in NewCath's and the bishop wasn't mentioned then or since. If I am CovCath I'm telling the bishop to get lost. What would the fall out be if they went ahead as planned?

What happens at your job if your boss tells you to do something and you tell him / her to "get lost"?

That would be the same fallout for Bob Rowe.

Simplified details of what happened. 
These “leaders” called Scott Ruthsatz (my dad) last Thursday.  They told him over the phone the bishop was the reason he wasn’t allowed in. 

This is where the lying directly to us over induction begins. 

During these convos on Thursday is when these “leaders” tried to convince my dad to not tell our family the truth. On top of this they never provided anything from the bishop stating why my dad wasn’t allowed in. All we wanted was closure on why the bishop would do this? Is that too much to ask them? These are the same people we’ve been around for 10+ YEARS. 
This is where I knew something bigger was happening… Why would these “leaders” be so worried?

So next I call the office of safe environment at the diocese to get clarification on this ruling against my dad. They look it up and say the reason they got from cov cath was SCOTT RUTHSATZ PERSONALLY WITHDREW…
This is where I’m filled with so much anger & so distraught. 

I confirm with them multiple times asking “So the bishop never said anything about this?” They confirmed with me again “it says here Scott personally withdrew his name from being in the hall of fame.”

The plan was for me & him to go in together. We had 30+ extended family traveling to the event that paid, booked hotels & some flights. Why in the world would my dad PERSONALLY WITHDRAW knowing all of this? HE NEVER DID! 

So now it makes sense why they won’t release a statement… CovCath “leaders” blamed that it was the bishop to my dad, myself & countless others. Over an over on the phone and in person.

If CovCath “leaders” were to make a statement blaming the bishop for this the diocese would know they were lying.. I mean I literally got confirmation directly from the DIOCESE… hence why they told my dad & I they would get fired if we spoke up to anyone..THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME THEY TRIED TO USE THE BISHOP TO INFLUENCE MY DAD & OTHERS. When in reality the bishops office has confirmed with myself & others there was nothing from their end. Theres multiple people involved on the cov cath side & you know who you guys are. 

I hope this was all worth it?‍♂️

So you think to yourself what are the incentives for the CovCath “leaders” who invited my Dad & I to this event. The same ones that lied to us directly saying the only reason was the bishop. The “leaders” NEVER SENT ANYTHING IN WRITING FROM THE DIOCESE ON THIS DECISION. 

You see the common thing in all of this is only one or two people are controlling all communication. Controlling every narrative & telling people anything but the truth. And let me tell you COVCATH has so many great people there & to know these current “leaders” don’t represent what the school is  about is a shame. From talking to multiple past students these “ leaders” were the people you knew to avoid in school?‍♂️

let's circle back to the incentives of why these “leaders”would make up that its the bishop. When these are the same COVCATH people who INVITED MY DAD. 

Someone had to tell them last minute if you allow Scott Ruthsatz in the hall of fame I’m not donating anymore or used their jobs against these “leaders” in some way. 

Because let's remember less than 11 days before the event everything was set for my dad to get inducted. 

ON TOP OF IT. YOU REPORT TO THE DICOSESE SCOTT RUTHSATZ PERSONALLY WITHDREW. COMPLETELY MADE UP. I’M WILLING TO PAY ANY AMOUNT OF $ IF SOMEONE HAS A FORM OF COMMUNICATION THAT MY DAD SAID HE WITHDREW. 

TURNING IT ON US AS IF WE WOULD SELF SABOTAGE OURSELVES?

This is where people need to be held ACCOUNTABLE!

What are the reasons CovCath “leaders”changed their mind so fast? If they are willing to blame the bishop in this situation how many OTHERS have dealt with this? MY DADS NOT THE ONLY ONE. This NEEDS TO HEARD. 

I put this out there for everyone to make their own decisions. If I don’t do this these “leaders” will be able to control the narrative at the hall of fame dinner. People asking them “Hey wheres Scott & Nick?” Then “leaders” making up something that's so far from beyond the truth but we have no one there to standup for us so they get away with it.. 

This is all really tough to write but I know whats right. Theres influential people behind the scenes making a stand for our family to these “leaders” & I can’t thank them enough. 

Thought that was wild? just wait theres more to come…

Kudos to Nick for standing up to the powers that be for his father. The 'resignation' in the Spring from Scott (and Joe Fredrick for that matter), obviously is a much, much deeper issue than the public knows. 

 

I'm assuming the "leaders" that Nick is referring to is Bob Rowe and Tony Bacigalupo, and if they did tell a mistruth to the Diocese and / or The Ruthsatz family, this is going to be blow up in their faces.

Here is what I don't understand, "someone" made the last minute decision to exclude Coach Scott Ruthsatz from the CovCath Hall of Fame, why can't that "someone" just stand up and say it was me!!??  

And while we are at it, exactly who has that kind of power?

Gonna be a day when you're in the hall of fame and the world's gonna know you're name.

The Bishop was not going to allow CCH to induct a coach to their hall of fame after he had given the order for that coach to be fired.

This is assuming that whoever Nick spoke to at the Diocese was being factual. I don't mean to imply that they deliberately lied.  They may not know for sure or that may have been what they were told.   

There also could be a confidentiality agreement in place between dad and the diocese.  Those aren't uncommon in resignation situations.  If that is the case we may never know the reason.
