However, in this case, with the Bishop being the one who directed for Coach Ruthsatz to be fired, I think the Bishop also stepped in after the fact when he found out late in the game that Ruthsatz was being inducted to CCH's hall of fame.

If the Bishop directed Scott to be fired is there any real chance that anyone at CCH didn’t check with the Bishop to make sure this was ok? If he was fired because of the Bishop and the school admins didn’t check to make sure he was ok with him going into the HOF that is even worse. 

If only Covington Catholic was a public school subject to open records requests.

He did inform his family, obviously, and out of respect for him, they stayed quiet about the situation. 
 

He embraced it, because despite winning over 82% of his games in 13 years, he still dealt with entitled kids and complaining parents most years. Other high schools have this too, but it's typically at a larger level at CovCath. 

Then, when CCH announced Scott and Nick were to both enter the HOF, and 2 weeks later, told them that Scott wasn't welcome but they still asked Nick to attend, Nick responded.
 

Keep in mind, CCH asked the Ruthsatz to lie about the reason why Scott wouldn't be inducted. They also told the event's emcee Danneman to NOT address why the Ruthsatz will not be in attendance  

His son is 29 years old. Not sure how much a dad will allow or not allow at that age. Every family is different.

Small point of clarification, I don't believe Joe Danneman is the emcee this year.

that's the second time I’ve been told this. So the principal or AD would get fired because he allowed a person to be inducted into the schools athletic hall of fame. As I’ve stated my uncle is in NewCaths HOF. I don’t recall having the Bishops blessing as one the requirements for that HOF. Also my brother in laws state championship team, and my cousins state championship teams were teams of distinction. They never mentioned the bishop either. I don’t understand that part.

I don’t think I’d risk my job for an issue like this, but I also wouldn’t like the fact the Bishop can influence menial issues like this as well. He should have bigger things to deal with.

My man, on this point you and I couldn't be more in lock-step.  The Diocese has a Superintendent of Schools, if they and their staff can't handle this situation then they may not be right for the job.  If the Super told CovCath they could include Scott since Nick was going in, and the Bishop found out later and overruled them, the Super should seek a better opportunity.  This may all be in his purview, but let's be honest, it isn't in his field of expertise.

Well, when he told the organizer of the event that he won't do it without the Ruthsatz there, it's possible they removed him from the event too.
