If accurate, another example of letting parents have way too much impact on the institution's decisions.

I wonder if at any point AFTER his holiness discovered that Scott was being introduced into the HOF if ANYONE thought it might be a good idea to sit down in the same room and discuss best options/whether or not to move forward with blackballing Scott given the potential blowback/bad optics of making such a move?

It strikes me that the best move her would have been to avoid the possibility of this kind of eruption from the community/clucking from all corners of NKY and - instead - just admit the mistake was made but let the man in and move on

I understand his holiness is that end all/be all in the organization, but #1's screw up too right? Shocked cooler heads didn't prevail here and a better decision wasn't made. Bad look all the way around for all the players involved.

Paging Bishops Foys… one of the biggest complaints with him was he couldn’t be bothered enough to be involved/care about anything, especially regarding CovCath. 

I’m sure the admin was wishing that was the case with Bishop Iffert right about now. 

Wonder how much Jake knew the behind the scenes and/or talked to Scott about accepting the HC job. 

My opinion here is that there is a lot more to this story that goes back to the resignation/firing and it has nothing to do with parents and/or donors. Someone hit on the off the court "issues" that arose with players over the past 10 years or so. I believe there may lie the root of the resignation/firing due to how such issues were handled by he and/or his staff. I doubt we will ever truly learn the reasoning behind any of this, as it is likely far too embarrassing for all parties involved. The son stirring up this hornets nest with the social media posts is the last thing anyone involved needed.

This .. overall lack of accountability for SERIOUS offenses by players shielded by the “pending investigation” line to allow them to remain on the court.  Fully get innocent until proven guilty but seemed to be a “lack of institutional control” around the program.  Between the transfers and program/administration turning their head to certain actions/activities, the culture seemed to be win at all costs.  And if there wasn’t a particular incident that led to the resignation/firing and it was the bishop not accepting the culture of the program that should fall on the shoulders of Rowe and Bacigalupo just as much as Scott Ruthsatz for allowing it to happen.

He was not happy with the incident that occurred at halftime of the regional game. Assistant coach #1 lost his cool, which resulted in the final straw that broke Ruthsatz back.

That will be the answer will lead to all of this, period! 2 state titles and can't get in the HOF? Money still runs the everything. Coaches put in all the hard work, time, complaints from parents, donors and stress from everywhere. On paper, why wouldn't he be in. All stems from the real question that never came out and all is hearsay, WHY WAS HE FIRED/RESIGNED? That answer will lead (No clue hear) to all this drama.
