I assume one is Bruiser Flint, who seems to sit sideways on the bench and never say a word. I wonder who the other is? Maybe Chuck Martin, who came from Oregon?

What about Orlando??

What surprised me from the show was the pretty unanimous agreement that Cal has gotten lazy.  That wasn't just from the KSR guys, but also from Cal's buddy Seth Greenberg.  And how evidently, other people have tried to talk to Cal about that.

They also said, and it was Drew Franklin specifically who said, that two assistants on Cal's staff are "stealing money."  They didn't specify the assistants.  Also criticized the staff for not having any representation whatsoever at the Sweet 16 to watch Travis Perry or Malachi Moreno.

In short, it was a discussion that did not paint Calipari and his staff in the most positive light.

Those guys figure any Kentucky kid they are interested in is a done deal and they don't need to do anything else.

That D by Oakland was terrible

What shocked me was, they didn’t watch any tape of it or work on it in practice how they wanted to attack it??

It worked fairly well.

What’s up with the story about Cal “hiding” a $100K NIL deal from Reeves?

I have heard it was from the Randy Parker Collective.

Probably so.

What a joke once again that this AD and administration doesn’t get rid of a very vanilla coach that has failed tremendously over the last several years, doesn’t anyone respect the UK basketball program anymore? Easy decision to get rid of Cal and not enough fortitude among any team players to reject this overrated coach? WOW and Ky basketball gets another 10 year setback from ridiculous terrible judgement by so called Ky “brass”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like members of BBN have a few choices for 2024-2025:

1) Support the Coach/Team loudly and proudly.

2) Hope for the best but do so somewhat quietly.

3) Be toxic and loud about it.

4) Quit BBN until Calipari is out but not make everyone hear about it constantly.

Feels like most fans are going to fall into #2 and #3. I hope most can find a way to fall into #2 because #3 is no way to go through life, no fun for anyone, and only makes it tougher to recruit future players and hire a coach in the future. But in the end, you can't tell anyone how to "be a fan" of a team.

Cal needs to watch yesterday’s show of Cowherd.  Had Mark Few on the show.  Cowherd said you always seem to be calm on the sidelines, how do you do that??  Few:

”Because I know me yelling and screaming and losing my mind isn’t going to help them”

I’m reminded of both the title and the final line of a classic song by The Who.  Some of you will know before I finish typing this post.

No she wasn’t. In her four years her overall record was 61 and 60. Her last two years she only won 12 games in both seasons. In conference play her record was 23 and 40. Her best regular season finish in conference was 5th, then 7th, 12th and 13th. She had the best player in woman’s basketball her first two years, and yet would have missed the tournament with the number one overall pick in the WNBA draft if it wasn’t for a miracle run in the SEC tournament. Just then to go lose in first round. The only thing better in that 4 year run, was that one lucky 4 day stretch in the SEC tournament with the best player in the country.

Calipari had underachieved big time these last four years for what we expect from the men’s basketball team. However, even though he hasn’t been good. He has not need as bad as she was.

Yeah, she was, doesn’t matter HOW or WHY she won the SEC tournament, what really matters is she DID IT!!  Yes, she had a great player, Cal had the National Player of the year and didn’t win a SEC tournament, both won 1 NCAA tournament game, Elzy was 8-3 in SEC tournament in those 4 years, Cal, 1-4, everything else was fairly even so in my opinion the SEC tournament success compared to Cal’s makes her more successful during that time span.

As I’ve said before.   The greatest risk of another underachieving season can be summed up in one word.

Apathy.
