@DragonFire while I do agree they played a track meet style all year long, not a single team shot 50% from deep against the cats this year.

I need to laugh to keep from crying. lol but I was watching the post game interview with Oakland's coach and Jack Gohlke and I kept saying he reminds me of someone then I figured it out Chet from the 1985 movie Weird Science. Check it out.

Jack Gohlke went Billy Hoyle on the Cats!! There defense what terrible again.  Cal continues to chase all these freshmen and with the transfer portal and kids not chasing the NBA, like 80% of the UK roster, they are playing grown men. I've said that his teams are just too young for years and he can't develop them! Tonite it showed.......again!

I was thinking 1990s Dan Aykroyd.  But Chet sure does look like him.

That being said, I'll admit that Cal has to move on. But it's gotta be the right way. You don't want to mess up the NBA connection.  If it gets dirty, all the work with a lot of previous "Cal guys" (Davis, Wall, Towns, Murray) will be washed away at UK.

 

These kids don't chase down a particular school anymore. They're looking for a coach. Plus the whole transfer wherever, whenever stuff. I'll reiterate, UK has to keep it "clean" with Cal. Can't just run him outta town.

They’re the Dallas Cowboys of college basketball. 

They tear it up in the NBA when they are older and more mature.

Cowboys are good comparison unfortunately. Annie Agar was all over that on Twitter.

Shouldn't with NIL and Transfer Portal. And with everyone that's been wanting to replace him the last 3 years, whomever is next better perform at the floor of the last 3 years.

Here's the worst thing for me about the current state of UK basketball:  It just doesn't mean that much to me anymore.  In the past, I used to really get bummed out when UK's season ended.  I might not watch the next few days of the tournament, or even the rest of the tournament.  Tonight, I resigned myself that the season was over with about 10 minutes to go in the game.  It didn't really bother me at all, I have seen this picture too many times and was ready to turn the page and watch the rest of the games.  I just didn't care. And that's a shame, because I really liked this team.  But I just don't care enough to let it even bother me anymore.  And I don't think I'm alone there.
