Colt Kelly was born in Perryville I believe the original comment was from the Boyle district and I believe Perryville qualifies.

Bottom line is Boyle is the elite program in that area.  Danville has killed themselves with dumb moves from clueless administration.  

Boyle can name their score this year.  Not sure if Danville can over come the negative momentum of their program when it is easy for families to go a few miles down the road.  Time will tell.

I can't agree with this statement.  Many Danville fans have been vocal over how stupid administrative decisions have wrecked the football program.  There were big protests when Clevenger was fired and those people weren't listened to in 2021 and they weren't listened to later when the job came open again.  I just don't see a lot of Ads fans making excuses.  They have either voted with their feet or pocketbook because of those decisions.

I respect what Boyle has managed to do since the late 1990s in building themselves into what they've become.  I even root for them when they aren't playing the Ads.  Difference between the two programs/systems right now is culture.  One is pursuing excellence and the other has been dysfunctional.

I thought Chuck Smith said it best on @ChiefSmokepodcast stating, "Danville's best players are starring and starting for Boyle Co...It is not a rivalry anymore."  I agree completely.  This game was special when the teams playing in were competitive.  It really is sad that it has turned into a running clock affair.   

You could feel the steam coming out of Coach Smiths ears on todays show. To me that means he cares that much about this once great rivalry, one that he helped make into one of  the states premier rivalries. I’d be very upset also.

Without those kids they are still probably winning this game. Maybe not #1 in 4A, but still plenty good enough to beat the Ads in 2023.
