The Casey County Rebels enter this matchup riding a two-game winning streak, their first back-to-back wins since 2023. Casey County is now 2-3 on the season after victories over Jackson County, 44-6, and Clinton County, 60-34. Their three losses came against Adair County, McCreary Central, and Fleming County. Garrard County enters the game still searching for its first win of the season. The Golden Lions are 0-4, with losses to Madison Southern (7-35), Estill County (26-35), Middlesboro (7-28), and Bethlehem (0-8). Garrard's most recent loss to Bethlehem came Friday night. The Golden Lions have also had an unusual stretch over the past two weeks, with a bye week followed by a weather-related cancellation, leaving them with very little game action heading into this matchup. Casey County comes in with the momentum, while Garrard County returns home hungry for its first victory. Can the Rebels keep their winning streak alive, or can the Golden Lions finally break through and pick up their first win of the season? Thoughts?

For Lincoln County I would go with the ‘88 or ‘93 teams. The ‘88 team won 13 straight and finished with a 13-1 record, including a first ever 20-0 win against Danville. They lost in the semi-finals to Tilghman 7-27. The Patriots also shutout 6 opponents, only allowing 89 points all season. The ‘93 team finished as state runners-up falling to Covington Catholic. The Patriots scored 528 points that season, and allowed 126. Jeremy Simpson won the Mr. Football award after rushing for 3,044 yards and scoring 284 points.

The Patriots are coming off a 9-3 season, their best record since 2007. The only three losses last season were to state semi finalist Boyle County, Franklin County, and Corbin. They will be losing the majority of their skill players to graduation, so it will be interesting to see who starts and how well they will do. The only adjustment to this year’s schedule is the replacement of Estill County with Lawrence County. ? Tucker Foster, Drake Willoughby, Clay Pendygraft, Brody Baker ?
