Pains me to say it, but this might set the record for most lopsided win in the rivalry's history in terms of a Boyle win.  God love the true believer that voted for the Ads.

I was busy on Saturday so I watched a replay of Danville's came with Pulaski (or what I could as the NFHS feed kept buffering after 20 minutes of play).  While Danville has a few offensive weapons, their lack of size up front is a liability on both sides of the ball, evidenced by earning just 131 yards of offense last week.  Pulaski County was also just bowling them over, which became worse as the game went on.  Exhibit A was a picture for the Somerset Commonwealth Journal who recapped the game since the Danville Advocate Messenger doesn't like to do sports coverage much anymore.  This was a post-pancake play by Pulaski:

Brycedon Brown

Even worse for this game in that Dawson and Brown are probably Ads if not for some head scratching decisions on coaching hires that have been talked about a lot already on this board (and do not bear repeating here again).

So the Rebels will name the score in this one barring something wild.  Hopefully my Ads find their footing as the year progresses but with a team this young, finding the wins is going to be tough, especially against bigger schools and quality opponents.

I think the largest margin of victory for Boyle was 47-0 in 2000.  I could be wrong.

Think about that year.  Boyle beat Danville, 47-0 and went on to go 15-0 and win AA.

Danville lost, 47-0, and went on to become the A State Champions.

How impressive was that Boyle win???

59-0 in 2019.

Danville pretty much owned the series through 1998, going 29-7-1.  A lot of the games were lopsided wins, the worst being in 1998 (60-7).  Starting in 1999 Boyle started to have the upper hand in the series.  Winning 28-3 that year and going on to win their first state championship, the Rebels are 16-6 against the Ads starting that year.  The most lopsided win coming in 2019 (59-0).  The teams have played 59 times, starting the series in 1965 with a 0-0 tie on Centre College’s field.  The Ads still hold the all-time series lead 35-23-1.  2020 and 2021 the games were cancelled due to reported Covid issues at Danville.  Boyle won last years renewal 41-7.

Boyle County should really just dress the JV.

We(Mason) played Boyle in round 2, the 2000 season. Ugly. That is probably best team I ever coached against.

The 1987 Admirals were pretty dang good also. We played them at Mercer, my last year there as an assistant.

I can't believe that's been up for 5 hours and hasn't got a single reply.

Rebels are too big, fast, skilled, well-coached for this game to be even a little competitive.

Anyone know when Bixler is getting cleared to play? He will be a much needed addition to Boyle's defense.

Feltner (Corbin) Driver moved to Boyle in middle school from Franklin County. Brown, Dawson (Danville) Quisenberry (Garrard) Geo Brown (Danville) Josiah Richards (Danville) that offense and defense would look a whole lot different without those kids.

Dawson and Bodner are both 5th years as well. I know there’s a few lineman that applies to as well. Boyle has hit the lottery in recent years in terms of retaining talent.

Haters are going to hate! Kids wanted better opportunities so they took it. Maybe their home programs should do better to retain their talent and they won’t want to come to BC. Same with other programs throughout the state. Danville fans will use everything as an excuse to hide the fact that their historic program has faded into the shadows

Dawson is but pretty sure Bodner is not.  Avery was a freshman in the 2020 Championship game and had a INT in that game.  That was before KHSAA had a rule you could take a covid year.  20,21,22,&23 are 4 years.

I’m not aware of any lineman on the team that took a Covid year.

Kudos to the Boyle program. Its hard to get to the top, even harder to stay there. That in itself takes hard work. Everyone that knows football in this area though will tell you without the addition of #0, #5 & #2 the rebels are just not the same. Proof is in the stats. Look at what # 0 done in just a couple minutes last Friday. Pull out the popcorn its show time!

I think that is a moot point.

Crowe did.

I recall when Jeremy Britt showed up at Danville for his Senior year.

I seem to recall a few WV residents transferring to Belfry

It happens to power programs.

This is incorrect. Bodner didn't take the covid year.
