  • The unmitigated gall of someone not considering that the Reds would be contending about now.  Terrible foresight.

  • Well, it was fun while it lasted.

For a massive chunk of the year it wasn’t. It sure it now though.

Guys I love Elly and watching him play. but with all of that speed going into next season he has to cut down on his strikeouts. He currently has had 315 AB's and has struck out 122 times that is just under him striking out 40% of the time.

Also, where have all those long home runs that landed half way across the river gone?  Woops. I almost forgot, you have to make contact before that can happen.

It's been on the edge all year, then July, August, and September rolled around.

Well, you may run like Hays…but you hit like ….

In a virtual tie for the last WC slot now.  If they can make it through Seattle relatively unscathed, they are in a good spot.   Easiest schedule of all the teams remaining in contention for that last WC.

Philly has 7 remaining  with the Braves.  NOTHING is decided at this point

Maybe so, but you still have to like the Philles as the #1 wildcard team.

Yes, they’re the overwhelming favorite for that spot.

He's a baby.  Give him some slack.  Everyone knows that this season they weren't supposed to contend with an eye on next season (according to all the pundits) being the start of their "window".  And I'll add, it's not Elly that's the problem with this bunch.  The problem is and will always lie 60ft 6inches from the dish.  Starters, pen have to be better.  I told LRCW, how nice would it be to have Sonny Gray back to stabilize a start a week for this squad?

That was a heck of a comeback win last night against the Mariners.

Dare I say... I'm starting to believe that they can make the playoffs!!!

Yeah, I was there.  You might be on to something.

I'm still scrathing my head, are the Reds pretty good or just darn lucky?
