I am going to jump on the bandwagon and say yes.

I hope it's yes and would love to say yes.   I just don't think the pitching will hold out if they don't make a big move at the deadline.

I think that this will depend a lot on the Cubs of all teams. I’ve seen reports recently predicting the Brewers to be sellers at the deadline and gear for an all in attempt next year. The Pirates played way above their level early and are plummeting back to earth. The Cardinals are awful.

I think the Brewers are the division faves.

I’d agree. All depends on what they do at the deadline. Rumors of them considering selling recently and MLB channel questioning Counsel being on the hot seat. 

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.  Better to be hot at end of year than middle.  Enjoy the current ride and just go one game at a time.

It is better to be hot then, but the fact remains that they’re a few weeks away from the decision on whether to make a trade or not.

I realize that and hate hearing them talk about trades when they appear to be pretty solid except for starting pitching.  Question is what do they have to give up to likely pick up a rental?  

I sure hope they do, but I do think that the only way is by winning the division. I think it will be easier that way than to get a wildcard spot.

Spot on. NL West may end up with 3 teams in. Division is the route this year.

I hope everyone doesn't jump ship after this weekend. Pitching match-up's don't do the Reds any favors and the Braves are coming in hot also. 

 

July coming out of the All-Star Break will make or break the season. 2 series against the Brewers along with series with Arizona, Giants and at Dodgers will tell the tale. 

In the last 30 years it seems that the few times the Reds have had me excited at the AS Break, they have came out flat and fell on their face afterwards. If the Reds can stay in it through the end of July, I think they'll win the Central.
