  • The unmitigated gall of someone not considering that the Reds would be contending about now.  Terrible foresight.

  • Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Philly, Arizona, San Fran, Miami all lost

Gained a game on Milwaukee.  4 biggest games of the season coming up.

Reds claim Harrison Bader off waivers from NYY, and Hunter Renfroe from LAA.

Couple more vets to add into the youngsters.    Should be a fun final push.

I think they need 3 out of 4 to have a shot to stay in the wildcard hunt.

Will Bader and Renfroe really help the Reds?  Maybe so, but I'm not seeing it.

Yep, we're running out of games.

Certainly better than TJ Hopkins and Stuart Fairchild in the OF.

I'm assuming this will be a platoon lefty/righty situation.  Bader has mashed LHP.  Interestingly, Friedl has reverse splits.  He is hitting better against LHP.  It certainly gives Bell more options to tinker with the lineup... which we know he likes to do.

Yes he does, TJ has hit lefties better all year than righties, so why not play him today instead of Fairchild who is absolutely terrible, aw well, just another brilliant move by Buddy!!  Of course, Fairchild strikes out first time up with 2 men on!!

Well, I didn’t think Sadak could top some of the idiot homerisms he’s spouted off to us this year but he did today:

”the losses the Reds had on the road trip were a positive because it moved them up in the waiver line to get Bader and Renfro”

just unreal!!!

Goodness, if Elly gets 600 AB’s next year he’ll approach 300 K’s!!!

MARTE!!!  Happy for the kid!!

Somebody finally swung at a first pitch down the middle belt high!!!

Snatched victory from the jaws of defeat 2 days in a row, GREAT start by Abbott, this kid has a chance to be REALLY good!!!
