You must have fired him up. He immediately drove one out 400+ to center, then drove in a run with rbi single next at bat. Later he scored from second on a single right to the left fielder.

Thanks 16th, for waking him up!!!

Amazing how much your chance of getting a hit increases when you swing isn’t it!!??

.177 since the all star break, .157 since Aug. 23rd which was his last extra base hit, he was due to wake up!!

  • The unmitigated gall of someone not considering that the Reds would be contending about now.  Terrible foresight.

The Cubs pulled a Reds they were up on the Braves 6-0 and just lost 7-6. Still have a shot!

1.5 out with 4 to play, honestly no one expected this.

Crazy stat, Cubs are +100 in runs scored versus runs given up. The Reds are -44, and only 1.5 games back.

Equally crazy, Padres are +90 runs scored and are 3.5 games back of the Reds.

Reds are 5th in NL runs scored and 13th in runs allowed...not really shocking news.

Found himself a couple of nuts last night lol

Edit: Should finish reading before making the same joke as others.

Regardless of how the Reds finish, nothing would make me happier than to see the Cubs collapse.

Loss hurt tonight as they are do now but the Cubs lost again tonight to the Braves. I would have liked our chances better going into Friday a half game out instead of 1 1/2 out.

Braves swept the Cubbies, they did all they could to help us. 1.0 back of the Cubs going into the final 3 against the Cards.

Marlins however have passed us both, if they hold on against the Mets it looks like they will be 2 up with 3 to play.

Cubs face the Brewers and Marlins face the Pirates this weekend.

Reds looking good early.  Up 8-2 against the Cardinals in the beginning of the 4th inning.

Tough inning for the Cardinals,  Reds now lead 12-2 with 1 out in the 4th inning.

Reds had 11 different players cross home plate tonight, with several doing it more than once and India doing so 3 times.

Marlins won.

Brewers beat the Cubs

Astros currently up 2-0 on the DBacks in the 7th

So the Reds are tied with Cubs with 2 games to go...but both unfortunately have been passed by the Marlins who lead them by 1.5 games.
