They (The NCAA Selection Committees) always claim that things like that are not taken into consideration when the field of 68 is set.  We shall see.

It makes sense to me, so does her making more than WNBA players.  The WNBA is artificial, college hoops is real. 

Believe I read the highest WNBA salary is about $250K.

I've seen similar and have never understood the gripe about it. They bring in nothing that the NBA does. 

If someone compares and finds that the WNBA brings in 50% of what the NBA does, but salaries are only 15% of the NBA or something, I'd have an issue with that. 

NCAA Men's title game had more viewers than any of the 2022 NBA championship games.

At peak viewership, this year's Women's title game trailed the Men's title game by only 2 million viewers (14 million to 12 million).

Current Women's TV deal is $85 million versus $770 million for Men.

College athletes in women's sports have way more incentive to stay in school v going pro because of the huge discrepancy in pay between the WNBA and NBA. 

It is starting to spill over in to men's sports as well. Unless you're on a two way deal in the G-League, average salary can range from $40k-$500k. Nigel Pack of Miami was making $400k this year and will make the same next year.
