Final terrible all the way around.

Nothing good about this game. Offense sucked. Defense sucked in first half with Oscar on the floor. Both offense and defense sucked in second half. Just nothing good at all, except maybe Theiro showed he can give some good minutes when needed. Other than that nothing good at all!

Have same feelings right now as I had after StPeters debacle. Just no excuses for a team to play that lowly.

Absolutely agree.

Total embarrassment and that’s being positive. I don’t get how anyone can still defend our coaching staff and players at this point. Our offense is so simple to stop, double Oscar and make the others make plays, which they rarely do for whatever reason.  I only saw the last 10 minutes but listened to the rest of the game off and on. Caliparis lack of offense makes it easier and easier to do other things on a saturdays.

When they play somebody that’s any good they just look like the guy caught in a sandstorm,

they can’t run

they can’t hide

and they can’t make it stop

The defense wasn’t good, however the offense is still the biggest issue. Somehow the announcers were trying to say the defense is more of an issue, and just not true. In this game alone, UK tied for it lowest scoring output in a conference game since Cal got here. It was also the third worst shooting percentage game under Cal. Especially on the road if you can’t score, it just going to make it harder on your defense. Especially since if you can’t score, it keeps the opposing teams fans in the game, and gives the home team even more energy.

The defense definitely hasn’t been good this year either, but the offense by far is still the biggest issue for this team.

It could always be worse…

Hey @nikeman49, you aren't going to get anymore grief from me.  This team is stupid frustrating to watch.

This team, with the strength of the SEC, will be fighting an uphill battle just to make the NCAA Tournament.

The Athletic had them listed as a 10 Seed before this loss.

I figured playing in Tuscaloosa that Alabama would win.  But I didn't see it by 26.

Bama’s a basketball school and UK’s a football school  Start getting used to it.

On January 29, 2021, UK throttled Kansas, at Kansas by 18 (wasn’t that close and led by 30+), and many regarded the Cats as the best team in the country. They won their next four but chinks in the armor were beginning to form, some of it caused by injury. Since that point, UK has gone 15-9 and Calipari is seemingly navigating a rudderless ship.

I know people love Oscar, but there is a reason the guy has no NBA future (I hope I’m wrong). When he is the go to guy, you have problems. Anyone with marginal length or that can space the floor makes him look pedestrian. Wheeler is just ok, but not a dynamic floor general. Calipari seems clueless of what to do - which is an obvious indictment of him - but I’m not sure there is some kind of magic pill given the assembled roster. I think their best bet is to just go weird with lineups and muck up every game. Problem is you need a team that responds and goes all out, a team that will outwork its opponent. They ain’t responding to Cal in that way (at this point) - again, an indictment of him.

That Kansas game seems so long ago….

Some of us folks has suspected these problems for a few years, it's good to see of folks finally buying in now.
