Egan for Mr. Football!!! Congrats to Bullit East. Would’ve never guessed at the beginning or even middle of the season the Chargers would be wearing the 6A crown. Well deserved.

Tell your kids beforehand that if you get in that situation you are going for the win. They KNOW that it’s a well thought out play and would be practiced extensively.

Especially in high school football where the offense only has to go 10 yards to score. That’s tough for your defense especially if you’re the “underdog”.

I know they lost '94 AA game to Danville....I officiated that one. Mike Egan was the BE coach. I wonder if maybe the QB was related to him.

You are so right Deuce.  Most of them probably have no idea the positives this win will add to their lives.  I love it!

Only 2nd non big 3 team to win 6A. Quite the accomplishment!

Last season Bullitt East went 0-2 against Male losing by a combined 22-111

This season Bullitt East went 2-0 against Male winning 24-17 (regular season) and 28-27 (State Championship)

Insane growth by the Chargers in a single season. I don’t think anyone predicted this coming into the year and especially not after week one.

Scott County.

Who would have ever thought Boyle County’s #64 would coach his football team 10 years later to a 6A State Championship!  Congratulations Keegan!

Mike is Travis’ grandfather. 
 

Travis’ father, Brandon, was the QB for that Chargers team.
