Sorry not sorry, but;

I'm more thrilled to see Male lose a 4th straight title game than I am to see Bullitt East win.

Don't get me wrong, huge congrats to BE.

But Male should no longer be mentioned as a "Big 3". And honestly, X shouldn't be in it either. There is only 1 HULK. And that is Trinity, until someone can come close to threatening 27. And that will be a very long time.

Disagree. It is a matchup and feel for the particular game call. It would have been a terrible decision yesterday for Mayfield. They had trouble in short yardage all game long against Beechwood. Trick plays never work against the discplined Beechwood defense.

I didn’t follow this game so no opinion about going for 2 by Bullitt East. In general, I prefer kicking the extra point. I go for 2 if I have a play that I feel very strongly in or if I feel my defense can't stop the other team from getting a TD  in OT.

If you can’t bank on your team to gain three yards on one play that you usually have several of that you’ve practiced for that occasion, then I don’t really know why you’d bank on much later.

In the Mayfield case perhaps it isn’t a one size fits all solution, but it’s three yards to put yourself into position to win. If you can’t be confident in that, how are you going to gain ten later when you essentially need to average that many yards per play to score in OT?

I’ll bite.

Male is the only public school that can hang with and defeat X and T on a somewhat regular basis. If T is so awesome let everyone know why they weren’t in the finals this year or last year.

Yes, Male can and does defeat Trinity and St. X in the regular season. But in the playoffs and more importantly the State Championship, they just can't find the cure.

2010 Trinity-38 Male- 0

2019 Trinity- 28 Male- 6

2020 Trinity- 28 Male- 0

2021 St. X- won Male- lost

2022 Male lost, again.

Didn’t Male beat T in the semis in 2021? I was there. Don’t blow that one off. Youre not helping with the stereotype of T fans being horrible losers.

Yes but I think the conversation is in regards to title games.

Male lost again, we should focus on that.

I think that this could be a huge thing for Bullitt East. I know that state championships have very commonly been won between the Big 3 in Louisville, but considering the differences only between last season and this season for BE, it’s huge for them. And BE undoubtedly has them a coach. I see the future being bright for them.

Trinity fans are the absolute worst. Most of them are entitled rich snobs. Even a game that has nothing to do with Trinity they have to make it about them. 

Male has had to have set some sort of record these past couple of years with number of touchdowns called back because of penalties. I’ve never seen a team shoot them selves in the foot like that over and over again.
