All Purples Tonight!

on to Kroger Field!

congrats SW I’m a great season!

What a season by BG!  Congrats to both teams.

I need to quit doubting BG, actually I never did but truly felt that SW had a good chance. Regardless, doesn’t take away from the awesome season that SW had. Congratulations to Bowling Green on a very impressive win and season to this point!

Congrats it sounded like a dominating performance. Saturday night should be a great one!

5A District 2 has now put a team in the state title game 8 out of the past 11 years - 6 of them were Bowling Green.

No 5A District 2 team has lost in the title game since 2007. Sure, that's pretty meaningless in reality, but still....

That streak has a chance to continue. Douglass isn’t as unbeatable as previously thought and BG has the athletes and offense to pull it off.

Did Perkins kid get hurt in game?

Yes.  I could see from the stands that both bones in his lower leg was broke.

He got hit in a similar manner a few plays earlier, luckily on that play neither foot was planted and he just got flipped head over heals.

Prayers for a quick and complete recovery.

Just got home.

Clearly, Deuce Bailey (as advertised) was the best player on the field. His O-line continues to impress.

Thankful for the win, but prayers goes out to the players that got hurt. Unfortunately, both seemed to be pretty gruesome injuries.

BG has been a different team since the reverse pass for the win at Father Ryan. It changed the DNA of the season.

BG may meet their match next Saturday evening but any Purple fan would have been pleasantly surprised if at beginning of season if someone told us we would be playing for another ring.

Seems to me the pressure is on Freddie D. Purples should just do next Saturday what got them to Lexington. Use the run to set up the pass.

I know this will be unpopular but I think Deuce Bailey will once again be best player on the field next week. Kid is playing lights out!

Will be fun!

What an absolutely incredible job by BG coach Spader, the rest of the coaches and players to continue to get better each week. Prior to the season and even after the first game, I didn’t think going to the state championship game was possible with this young of a team. And to only lose two games with that schedule too.  Absolutely amazing.

Speaking of schedules I guess BG just needs to continue playing their crappy schedule and Scott County and a southwestern can continue to play the toughest teams in country.  It’s working out for BG.

As for the Southwestern fans who talked so much smack all week, along with a couple of the Scott County folks too……….

“Here endith the lesson”

Guess we got a lot better since that Scrimmage vs the run ?. Great job purps!
