Just got home!  What a game for BG!  Again in warmups; BG was fired up and I just didn't get the feel SW was.  Maybe that was just me.  They were 4-5 minutes late to the captains meeting at mid-field.  Late to get out on the field.  They chose to defer, which I thought was a good move for them.  But BG took the opening possession down the field and stuck it in - no problem.  Then on SW first offensive possession, they were stopped twice on runs and on 3rd down their pass play wasn't even close to connecting.  A terrible shank punt and BG is at the SW 30.  A few plays later and Bailey finds 1 of 4 WRs he would find on the night in the end zone.  It was basically over then.  I didn't anticipate that at all.

BGs defense was really prepared well for a one-dimentional team.  That usually won't cut it this deep in the playoffs.  The stats don't say that, but the second defensive unit got alot of time in the second half.  That will bode well for next season.

All that said, congratulations to SW on a terrific season and their second Regional Title in school history.  That's a big accomplishment.

For BG, losing Geer is a tough loss for next week.  It would appear everyone else is good to go.  So the Purples will head to Kroger Field and play with House Money; as Douglass has been the favorite for along time now.
