Nope. Winning titles isn't that easy. But Izzo would have at least one more title with Cal's talent.

 And let's be very clear. This was one of Cal's least talented teams. That's why I never expected them to go real deep in the tournament and why I felt they were seeded too high.

-when you can’t teach zone or attack a zone.

-when you can’t make in game adjustments.    
-when the 2 things you focus on the most during the game are screaming at the officials and your kids

In regards to the last two years. No argument here. Having the horrible season like last year and now this. It definitely isn’t good. That I definitely won’t argue, because must do better than what these last two years have been like.

You didn't see our defense then.  It was laughably bad.

But yeah, Oscar having those numbers should equate to a double digit win.

It felt like UK was the underdog who was trying too hard to make plays and pressing throughout the entire game. Guys were trying to do too much and forcing plays.

If this was not bad enough unless Kansas was to lose their next game and they win two more in this tournament they will pass Kentucky as the winningest program in college basketball. If my math is correct the Cats are up 1 win on the Jayhawks after tonight's games.

This loss falls squarely on… the transfer portal. ?

I’m fine blaming Cal for this one. Pile it on! But dang, Grady and Wheeler were baaaaaad. So was TyTy. So was Brooks.

Runs and hides.  Trust me the site has seen me run circles around you with football talk.  You actually still want to debate if Cal is superstar dependent?  Our last great UK season by Kentucky standards was 2015.  So I’ve proven you wrong for 7 years now….you and MJ are the biggest Cal apologist out there.

Let’s give due credit to St. Peter’s. That late switch to the 2-3 zone was the equivalent of Mick telling Rocky to go back southpaw in the last round against Apollo Creed.

To be fair, UK would contend in the MAAC every year.

 I really don't have a problem with not calling a time out. I feel like you should have a final play mapped out and practiced multiple times before the game ever starts. If you get man defense and you have your play that you have practiced, no need to call a time out. When you get to this point in a season, at least half of your practice should be situational plays that you want to run against this opponent, including the final play in a tie game.

They're up two unless you're giving them the 1/16 game in-hand.  But unless something catastrophic befalls Kansas - like say, losing to a team you have no business losing to *COUGH* - yeah, they'll pass Kentucky if they make the Elite Eight, which I highly think I will.

 

Prepare yourself for an avalanche of people pointing out Kentucky has a better win percentage and has played a lot less games than Kansas. Valid points, but points that wouldn't be made if Kentucky were still leading.  I will likely say it myself.
