This question is coming from someone ignorant about guns.  How do live rounds get into a gun intended for use on a movie set?  Even if it is a real gun, how hard is it to make sure there are no bullets in it and no one puts any in it?  If I am reading correctly, there were two rounds discharged the day before.  How does this happen?

I've been raised around guns in a family centered around gun safety and I have many of the same questions. 

For someone who is so outspoken against guns/gun rights, Mr. Baldwin sure didn't seem to mind staying around set after 2 accidental live rounds were shot. Amazing how different people have different views when pay day is involved. 

I can't figure out why live rounds were even within a mile of that place let alone stored near blank ammo as has been reported. 

This is playing out like an old "Movie of the Week" where someone is targeted for murder by a prop assistant giving an actor a loaded gun. I swear I think there was a TV Movie like this many years ago.

One report was that the crew had been shooting live rounds with this same gun, after hours, for fun. I don't know if they were target shooting, practicing their Doc Holiday fast draw or what they were supposedly doing.

I have read that the gun was "real" and used for target practice.  It apparently was not a prop gun at all.

Many times a prop gun is a real gun. They just load it with blanks…. Most times.

This right here, it was being used with live rounds for fun off set.  Nobody thought to clear it/check it.  There’s a reason why the first set of gun guys quit.  
 

On a separate note, it sounds like the armor in question is being evicted because the owner doesn’t want her there now.  That’s tough, I’d never throw a tenant out over this and that’s with everyone making catastrophic, preventable errors.

To me, assuming this is true, there almost has to be criminal charges now.  Who and what I have no idea but this whole thing is a hot mess.

Somebody knows but everyone is denying…they are gonna force an investigation and make investigators, prove who did what.  Or Alec might write a check, still they county can bring forth charges if they want.
