In the nightcap of the Rebel Bowl, one of 2A’s best teams in LCA heads to Rebel Stadium to take on a highly ranked 4A squad in Boyle. 

Both teams started their seasons 1-0. Boyle winning 31-6 over Tates Creek and LCA 21-12 over Madison Central. This will be the first ever matchup between these teams.

Boyle will need to be much improved from their outing against TC if they want to go into next week 2-0. Their 0-8 rate on third down will not generate success against a quality opponent. LCA could say much of the same. They had 3 turnovers in their game can Madison Central. That won’t get it done against the Rebels. Boyle may be the best team on LCA’s schedule. Only time will tell us if that is true. We will know much more about both of these teams and their post season potential come Saturday night. Look for both teams to open their playbooks up more than they did on week one. Look for this one to be worth the price of admission. 

Big teams rise up in big games. Both these teams knows what is at stake. I think Lexington Christian will make this a game.

Week 2 has some impressive games around the state.  This game is no exception.

Wouldn't mind watching this Sat morning during my coffee hour.  Will this be televised/youtube/nfhs?

I have this too close to call.  LCA is stacked on paper but Boyle is....   Boyle!

LCA isn't getting much love in the poll. That's a little surprising. I wonder how much of that is due to last week's failure to launch? The Eagles didn't rip through Madison Central like everyone thought they would. I'm going to chalk that up to a combination of the Indians maybe being better than expected and LCA having some typical opening weekend kinks to iron out.

Neither LCA, nor Boyle County, looked like the best version of themselves last week. The outcome here could simply boil down to which great and talented team makes the biggest improvement from Week 1 to Week 2. 

I think LCA has too much explosive potential on offense to be shackled two weeks in a row. Give me the Eagles in a nip and tuck affair.

You almost can't overstate how incredible this matchup is. Both teams played their final game at Kroger Field last year and both check in at #2 in their respective classes.

With the game being at Boyle and it being their home opener.  I will have to go with my Rebels but, if it was at LCA it might be a little different.  I think both team didn't look good last week but this week both team should have worked out some of the problems from last week.

If not, what is the ticket situation for this game?  Advanced?  At the gate?

As soon as I know I’ll try to get the info on here. I’m actually going to meet with the AD this afternoon so I can ask him then. 

They are going to try to steam this game on The Boyle county sports network via YouTube. Also tickets will be digital only. Look for Boyle county schools on social media and they will have a link posted hopefully by Thursday. Tickets will go on sale Saturday morning starting at 10AM @Purple88 @FB Head

I don't think Boyle will give up 20 period.  Freddie D rocked LCA (40-6) last year and I think the same here:

If BC can stop X, who will be used at numerous position then BC wins big. If not, it will be close... Close enough that LCA might pull the upset.
