Spectator Limits for NKY

Just heard that most/all NKY HS baseball is limited to two tickets per player. After seeing pics from the 9th Region Basketball Tourney last week, and the packed crowds, it's hard to stomach knowing the 2 per limit for an outdoor sport. Anyone know where these guidelines came from and if there is any chatter that these limits may be loosened?

I totally get the indoor restrictions and agree with them.  I don't understand applying those same guidelines to outdoor activities.

If true then completely ridiculous, especially with the ability at most fields to watch from down either foul line. Will you get a great view like you would being behind home? No. But at least you’d get to watch some baseball.

Some fields are restricting seating behind home plate as well. I'm excited for these kids to be able to play but it would be nice to have a few more fans.

Excluding the post season, most games generally get about 2 spectators/player anyway.

Guess the KHSAA thinks COVID cannot be spread during post season games. LOL

Any mention, discussion, and media regarding politics or political figures is expressly prohibited on BluegrassPreps. Similarly, high school and college/university administrators and officials, when discussed in a strictly non-political manner, are all permissible on BGP.

In Track & Field KHSAA guidance says outdoor facilities can have 40% of capacity. I assume would be the same for baseball. Baseball stadiums are much smaller than football stadiums, but you would think could be more than just parents.

Utterly RIDICULOUS!  I watched pretty much everyone of my brothers games when he was a senior and won the state baseball championship and those were some of the best memories of my life.  With this stupid rule in place I would not have been able to watch many of the games, as my parents would have used the 2 tickets as is.  People have had enough and are tired of being controlled.  Let people make the decisions for themselves, if you are worried about sitting outside at a game and catching COVID, stay home, let us live our lives.
