theguru
Beechwood jumped out to a 14 to 0 lead but LCA roared back to lead 17 to 14. LCA was driving but threw an interception that Beechwood converted into a FG to tie the game at 17 with 209 left in regulation. LCA drove down to the 27 yard line with 2 seconds to go and Andrew Dobbs attempted a 44 yard FG that hit the upright as time ran out. In overtime, Beechwood scored on the first play to take a 24 to 17 lead. LCA came right back to score a TD but the extra point was blocked for a 24 to 23 Beechwood win. Congrats Beechwood! Congrats Coach Rash!

BadaBing
Great game. The score was very indicative of how good both defenses were. Beechwood player that blocked the extra point came right up the middle. I don't think an LCA player even breathed on him. Easiest blocked kick I've ever seen. Congrats to both teams on a great year. 1

Colonels_Wear_Blue
Beechwood's Michael Hatfield & Brady Moore coming in CLUTCH in the fourth quarter. Hatfield intercepted LCA's pass when LCA was threatening to put the game away with 1st and 10 on Beechwood's 13. Returned the pick to LCA's 28 yard line, and set up Beechwood's field goal to tie the game up with 2:09 left in the game. Then Moore leapt over the LCA offensive line to block their PAT in overtime and win the game 24-23. Well done, young men! (EDITED)
WCardinal
WOW... So here's the controversial question.... Should the goalposts be switched out for Championship games? 24-23 Beechwood vs. 20-17 LCA...........

DragonFire
Definitely some hard moments late for the LCA kicker. On the other side, could you imagine being the guy to block a kick for the state title? Incredible!

Wasn’t it?
Bac2369
Just now, WCardinal said: WOW... So here's the controversial question.... Should the goalposts be switched out for Championship games? 24-23 Beechwood vs. 20-17 LCA........... No! LCA was gashing Beechwood on runs plays on that last drive and chose to throw the ball. They cost themselves.
