Highlands being reconsidered and ultimately getting left for what appears to be a better job is not something I ever expected to see but here we are.

Also, stop with this “never get another job.” This isn’t common but it isn’t uncommon. Chuck Smith took the Madison Central job and then immediately left for Boyle. This stuff happens. Don’t knock a guy for reconsidering. You might have hated what you ended up with.

Highlands mafia strikes! I'm a big fan of BB V! The Highlands job belongs to a Fort Thomas guy, and he's the best option on the list (assuming Wolfe isn't interested) IMO.

My understanding is that hiring Chris Wolfe is off the table.

Agreed. I would have thought Wolfe would have been first choice originally so if he didn’t leave Male then I doubt he would now.

This sounds to me that either this is a Highlands problem or this is something that came up from a HR or employability aspect which we will never know the real truth about.

Let's be clear here.. I find it very unlikely he just got cold feet.... something has precipitated the cancellation of this move. 

 

Well, taking a job, conducting a press conference and then backing out a day or two later will probably rub at least a few people the wrong way, even if it’s justified. 

I agree something had to happen, but what? I know we likely won’t ever know but I wonder what he found out that he didn’t know in the interview process.
