109.36 today for the state.

French scientist have discovered a new COVID variant and have named it IHU.  In short, nothing of substance is known about it yet.

This is not good but the word needs to get out:

A new study by Danish researchers finds that after 90 days, the COVID-19 vaccines will make you more likely to get infected from omicron, not less.

They may offer a short-term benefit from the delta variant, “but at the expense of a degradation of your overall immunity to everything else,”

The Pfizer vaccine makes recipients 76.5% more likely and the Moderna recipients 39.3% more likely to be infected than unvaccinated people.

The article went on to warn about immune system fatigue from too many shots.

Vaccine doing well keeping people from severe outcome and death. Seems odd that more likely to get it yet keep you out of hospital.

As the article mentioned maybe the "degradation of your overall immunity to everything else" makes COVID (anything) easier to attack you but in the case of COVID the vaccine provides a layer of protection so the cases are not that serious.

I am speculating but I think it is pretty clear that ongoing boosters are going to have a lot of unintended consequences to our health.

Pick your poison. The longer this lasts, the more unstable the world as a whole becomes.  We started seeing extreme shortages of products quickly when the lock downs started.   Now we are seeing high inflation.  And China is still under lock down which means things aren't getting back to normal any time soon.  We are in some very uncertain times.

What is the context and/or what is the entrepreneur saying no thanks to?

Coronavirus science is a moving target. Everyone wants definite answers but it doesn't work that way. We have to keep evolving with the virus and try to stay ahead of it. I am sticking with the same thing I have said since last summer. Everyone is going to get COVID. The only thing that really matters is reducing deaths and serious illness. Do you want to get it vaccinated or unvaccinated? Based on what we are seeing now, getting it vaccinated is by far the better choice. If people get COVID and are able to tolerate it, then finally we can truly say it is like the flu. If vaccines keep people from serious illness and death, they have done their job IMO. I don't care if vaccinated people get COVID. In fact, good if they do. Then they build their antibodies even more. As long as deaths and serious illnesses are well under control, mission accomplished.

We all keep hearing statistics about how many people are hospitalized with Covid 19. In my hospital every single person admitted to the hospital gets a Covid 19 test  I am pretty sure every hospital does this.

I personally do these tests and I know the in vast majority of positive results I have seen, the patients have no symptoms at all, yet they are still hospitalized for other reasons. Technically, they are hospitalized WITH Covid, but not FOR Covid. I am curious as to whether all positive results are being lumped into all sick positive results.  It might very well, as even non sick Covid patients still require isolation with all the cost and labor that goes into it.

Make no mistake, there are still plenty of sick Covid patients, but more and more, I question some of the statistics out there.

A positive test is a positive test, whether that's why they came to the hospital or not. JMO.
