Why wouldn't he just attend Boyd or Blazer, unless, you know, the AAU ties to the assistant were more than just a mere coincidence.

 

Yeah the whole "living in Ashland" thing leaves me scratching my head. I'm not knocking the Greenup County school system at all but it just does not make sense to make that commute daily if you don't have to.

The Greenup athletic director announced on Friday night that Mike Raby would be the interim coach but I guess they changed their mind.

Usually if a sole interim coach is named and that particular person shows they can do the job, that person is promoted to permanent coach.

 

Also could be a stipend issue at play.

If the kid never should have been ruled eligible anyway for a VARIETY of issues (connection to AAU coach hired as assistant, questionable new address), then the school will be LUCKY if there aren't further sanctions.

I would imagine eventually the games Dryden played in will go down as losses once the KHSAA makes a final ruling. That won't happen until sometime during the off season though.
