No according to the coach he was there the player in question had been at the school for two weeks before Coach Large was hired. He said he was hired to replace an assistant who took the 6th grade job at McKell Middle in Greenup Co.

Jeff has been in the Greenup area since he was a kid. He also played at Ashland 15 or so years ago. So they didn't necessarily move to the area together. What I heard sounds to becoming true though but there isn't really anything I can add that hasn't already been mentioned. The letter to the coach explains about 90% of what I've been told.

My guess is the KHSAA missed it when ruling him eligible. Someone likely made a call recently that threw the red flag up for investigation.

The daily independent news paper said the player in question came from Woodford County but he's listed on Paul Laurence Dunbar's roster on the KHSAA website for his Sophomore and Junior year.

I think he had moved to Woodford at the end of basketball last season at Dunbar then they hired a new coach and he moved to Greenup Co.

If info submitted to KHSAA was forged/faked and then the KHSAA later learns the truth, the KHSAA is under no obligation to allow kids to keep playing because they were duped.
