Per A release by Greenup County Super intendendent Traysea Moresea. Apparently it goes back to a player who has been deemed ineligible. Assistant Coach Jeff Large was suspended as well. I guess Greenup County received a draft report from the KHSAA on the 20th of February. Both will miss the remainder of the season. The release makes it sound like the student athlete deemed ineligible was self imposed because they think the student athlete may actually possibly be ineligible.

Why wait until this point of the season to make a decision on this player and coaching staff? Seems a grave injustice to the other players and school.

So why does the KHSAA wait until tourney time to send letter. Timing on this is terrible, punishing other players late in the season.

Really not a bummer, if proven guilty, it's called cheating.

Kids only go through High School once and it can really sets their path for the future. Not all systems are perfect fits and many kids miss out on opportunities due to being in bad situations out of their control. That’s why I really think every student athlete should get one granted transfer. If it’s really about the kids and looking out for their best interests. I know nothing about this situation but from what I’ve seen on Twitter the kid in question was really happy at his new school, which he has been at all school year. Why is the KHSAA just now ruling him ineligible? That’s the real shame part in all this!!! Another situation where a kid is punished for trying to do better for himself.
