DeSales gets big win at home.

Wow!!!!!! Good for DeSales.

Wow! Is there any context behind this game or does DeSales have a top notch squad this year?

DeSales had couple guys that played for Aspire Academy last year so DeSales may be pretty good.

I believe one of the guys from Aspire has some D1 offers, or so I've heard.

Evansville has looked at him a few times. He was hard to handle tonight. Kalle is his name.

Also, not sure if Trinity had everybody during the summer but saw them get beaten and beaten soundly a few times by teams you would not think. Possibly ranked on name alone? They have been on a great run but did lose alot of talent last season. Good win for Desales anyway you slice it though.

Scott County and Trinity both lose their opener.

I don't think BGPreps had Scott County pre-season top 20, though....

Nice win for DeSales. That coaching staff always does a remarkable job.

Does Trinity basketball have any football players? If so they would still be out since they’re still in the playoffs.

They usually don’t have any or many at all.

Trinity has one senior on its roster who saw limited playing time last year, scoring a total of 39 points. A majority of the players in their rotation came through the Catholic school system, which may differ from their stronger teams in the past. I expect they'll improve through the course of the year, but a top-10 preseason ranking was pretty aggressive.

I totally agree with this. Trinity returned no starters and only one player who played a significant role last year. They will get better, but they are playing a lot of players without much varsity experience.

I am looking forward to seeing DeSales play this year. The Sixth Region is going to be very competitive this season.

There will be more losses to follow, these are two different teams than in the past.

Desales played a terrible first half. Lot of turnovers. I think down 13 at half and came out to start second half just as bad! Down by I believe 17 when they finally started playing. Got hot and turned up the defense. Trinity well coached and will win their fair share of games. Have some nice young players but no big star power(yet). You can tell they have come up through the system.
