The Knights make the long haul from Lexington to Covington to take on the Colonels. Both teams come in at 2-0. Lexington Catholic hasn't defeated Covington Catholic since 2015. Can Lexington Catholic find a way to knock off the Colonels or will Cov Cath prove to be too much for the Knights to handle?

It could be a interesting game. LC has had some good wins so far. Looking forward to seeing what Beau can do against Cov Cath defense.

Covington Catholic will roll. Lex Catholic doesn’t have the defense to stop Covington Catholic.

Covington Catholic by a running clock.

I'm expecting CovCath to win, but this will be a good test for a young secondary.

No running clock in my opinion. Should be a great game.

Could be another shut out. CovCath looks like an unstoppable force.

Shut out? I highly doubt it. Cov Cath has a young defensive backfield, like @colonel-fan said. Lex Cath has one of the best quarterbacks in the country, and from all appearances, his receivers are more than capable.

Lex Cath's frontline is what makes me question the Knights on both sides of the ball. They are small on their offensive and defensive lines. They struggled against a bigger line at Pulaski County, and Pulaski led up until the 4th quarter in the season opener. Pulaski's offense was pretty well handling the Knights in the first half, and they did so without having their leading running back in the game.

Lex Cath was completely mis-matched on Friday against Howe (IN), so it's hard to really take away much information from that game.

Cov Cath's young offensive line has struggled to consistently get the push they want against both Ryle and Campbell County, so they are definitely working on improving that this season. Their defensive front has been tough, without a doubt - they have allowed a net of -46 rushing yards in their first two games, and 88 passing yards. However, as with Lex Cath, their second game was such a mis-match that it's hard to take any good info away from.

I expect to see a good game, regardless of the final score. I do not expect Cov Cath to shut out Lex Cath, but I look to see a Colonel win by a 21-28 point margin.

I thought the Colonels had a mostly Junior/senior line. Maybe a little inexperienced but played as many minutes as last years starters.

How big is Cov Cath's defensive line? I saw them against Ryle and they did not look that big. Cov Cath usually doesn't go for size on their d-line. I think a good passing offense could give Cov Cath some trouble. Throw a lot of quick hitting passes that negates any pass rush. This game could be closer than some people expect.
