Best Food in Florence, KY

Title says it all. Who makes what better than anyone? To which cuisine do you treat yourself in the fine city of Florence?

 

Hole in the wall, five star, hidden gems, doesn’t matter, as long as you go in, sit down and have a delicious meal.

I haven't dined in Florence since our July '18 move but I'll go with Mai Thai. They carved a nice niche in the former LJS location.

Florence has the strong chain game going lol. I’ll usually hit Outback, sometimes Applebee’s just bc I like the bar area, or Cracker Barrel (lol!). Can’t think of anything that great otherwise.

My wife and I enjoy the occasional stop at BJ's, Olive Garden or Quaker Steak & Luke. It makes it nice that the movie theater is close to all three. Obviously, all are chain restaurants too.

Mexican - I've heard a lot of good things about La Torta Loca recently. I'm looking forward to giving that place a try soon.

 

Pizza - I had Poseidon's this weekend. Very good Chicago style pizza. I like it better than all the chain pizza places in Florence.

 

BBQ - Smokin This And That has great pulled pork. I was not a fan of their ribs though.

I like Rafferty's a lot. It's a chain but it's relatively small as far as chains go. Great salads and a good variety of entrees to choose from.

Just about anything and everything. Training is off of Taylor's Boulevard right by Churchill Downs. Hotel is about 20 minutes away off Hurstborne Parkway.
