Twice. Once when I got married and then a second time twelve years ago when I switched jobs.

 

How many times have you moved?

Four. Never moved during my childhood, have moved four times since living in Louisville.

After college to an apartment w/one mate, then to a rental house w/ 2 mates (great time), then after marriage to an apartment, then to a house, and that's all she wrote.

Never moved as a child. We just got my parents to move out of the house they bought when they bought shortly after getting married to a retirement condo within the last few months.

 

I moved 3 times in my twenties, with roommates.

 

Got married, and lived in an apartment for the first 4 years, and now we're in a house.

 

That makes 5 times in my life.

20 in my entire life....all of it as an adult. Grew up and lived in the same house until I was 19 and moved out during college. I have lived in Tennessee, Colorado, Massachusetts, Michigan and Kentucky. It's way too many.

Never moved as a child. Moved 4 times in the 5 years right after college. Only two were big, once into Philly, then out to NKY a couple years later. Have moved once since I've been in NKY, into the house I'm currently in, but that was 19 years ago.

1)1984-1987: Mom and Dad's House; moved before my sister was born to bigger house.

2)1987-2007: Mom and Dad's Second House; moved out of parents' when I started law school.

3)2007-2010: Apartment in Louisville; moved out when a good friend became a roommate after his divorce.

4)2010-2013: Rental House; forced to move out of this place when the landlord lost the house in his divorce.

5)2013-2014: Different Rental House; forced to move out of here when the landlord and his wife decided they hated their new condo and moved back into the house.

6)2014-2018: Apartment; cozy but kind of terrible place that I loved but left when I moved to Cincinnati last year.

7)2018-present: Apartment in Cincinnati.

 

Six; not terrible. The only stretch I hated was when I had to move in consecutive summers because of dopey landlords. I expect I'll be doing it again soon.

1) Parents moved when I was going into 4th grade. We originally moved into a townhouse until we found a house.

 

2) Into that house from the townhouse.

 

3) After college moved to Louisville and lived in an apartment by myself.

 

4) After one year that lease was up and moved into a condo with a roommate.

 

5) After a year and a half there I moved back into an apartment by myself.

 

My current lease is up in July and plan on getting a place with a few buddies again so that will make 6. Hopefully after a couple years of that I will know where I want to be long term and can buy a starter home wherever that may be. Moving each year is somewhat annoying but not so bad since I am single and do not have much stuff.

4 different places in Kentucky and Indiana by the time I was 5.

 

Moved back to Kentucky with parents before 1st grade.

 

Parents bought a house in the same neighborhood, right next to my best friend around 4th grade.

 

Move to Middlesboro 1986, Prestonsburg 87, Ferguson 88 for work.

 

Shopville Kentucky 90 when we got married.

 

Heath (OH)90 , Muncie(IN)91, New Castle 92, Anderson 94, Fulton (KY) 95-2 locations, Linton 97 (IN), and Somerset 99-2 locations all for work.

 

We've lived in current home for almost 19 years.

Six, unless we count the every other weekend routine as a move each time, which I assume we aren’t. But the six includes each relocation of each parent during that span.

5 if we aren't counting college.

 

Post College = Mom's Place > Apt with the boys > Condo > Home with the wife

1. Moved from Chicago to NKY as a kid

2. Moved to apartment in Covington after college

3. Moved to Hebron after getting married

4. Built a house in Union

Five times I have moved.

 

Moving stinks.
