For James to win with this team he has to dominate the ball no denying that. This team couldn’t beat a G League team without him and K Love.

 

The team with k love and a system that fit those players would be a playoff team in the East still.

He went about 6 minutes to start the 2nd half without taking a shot, he tried to facilitate to his teammates and get them going to start the half...it was a disaster, they hit one 3 pointer while the Warriors pulled out to a lead rather easily.

 

He tried to facilitate. But even when he is facilitating the offense is still ran the same. A bunch of standing around. Very little movement, very little ball movement. Even when he facilitates it's just a one pass offense. I think this league has shown. The best way to get the most out of players who are not stars. Is having offenses with lots of movement and ball movement. It's harder for people to ever get in true rhythm when just standing in one place and not touching the ball at least once every possession. James is a great passer and facilitator. Problem is the offense is still a one pass offense even when he is a facilitator. That's why his teams are always so inconsistent when it comes to if players around him help. It's hard to be a consistent contributor in that type of offense.

The Celtics have a ton of difference makers. Excluding their two best players who were hurt, they have Tatum, Rozier, Brown, Horford (who may be the most underappreciated player in the league for the past decade), hell even Marcus Smart is a difference maker. The Celtics are straight loaded and should win the East next year unless Lebron lands in Philly. They could have given Golden State a series with everyone healthy.

 

I'll give you three. Rozier and Smart are 11 and 10 ppg and shoot 39.5% and 36.7% but no one else on the Cavs is equal to them?

Highest scoring offense in the league this year played exactly like that. Harden or CP3 pounder the ball out top then either shot or kicked it to which ever players defender came over for help defense.

 

Cavs actually move a lot more than they get credit for, much more than I thought they fid before I really started watching them.

I think the guys he wants to play with, don't want to play with him, and there is a reason for that.

 

Maybe. It's true that LeBron rigs the roster around him as best as he can. But he can only do so much rigging with a salary cap. LeBron eats up too much salary for his team (Cleveland or wherever) to get over. When Durant is taking quarters when he could be making dollars salary-wise, it's tough to get past a true super-team — and this is a true super-team, not what LeBron had in Miami.

LeBron hamstrung the Cavs when he got JR and Tristan their massive pay days. When these two are making around the same as Klay and Draymond, that’s all you need to know about GM LeBron. Not saying they could have assembled anything on par with the Warriors, that’s an outlier, but with the league’s highest payroll, you can assemble much better depth than they have.

Again, Lebron could take less if he wanted to win. The problem lies within Lebron.

The Warriors are the greatest super team assembled in any sport in my lifetime.
