I don't think he will be gone. If he does leave, personally I think he deserves thanks from the city. He pulled us out of the lowliest of the low. The last 16 years have been much better then the 16 before he came.

Agree, but it's hard to not improve when you're at the bottom, with no where to go but up; especially within the Socialist structure of the NFL?? For the record--Clean Break.

I use to feel otherwise but I am in the Clean Break Camp now.

Exact same feeling. I think Marvin is genuinely a good guy, maybe a bit soft/too big a heart, not enough discipline. I just think it's time for a new direction, sadly I don't think we will get that after it's all said and done. I'd love to be wrong though.

Same here. A couple of things have really pushed me the other direction. One is his record against Pittsburgh. This is the Bengals' version of Michigan for Ohio State, or North Carolina for Duke...it's a team that is in your division that you should be striving to beat each and every year (not only in the standings, but head to head). 8 wins and 24 losses just isn't going to cut it...especially when you're 2-15 AT HOME! And they're currently on a 5 game losing streak against the Steelers. Whatever his mentality/approach is in these games, it is obviously not working.

The other thing that has really bothered me was the comment he made just this week. Whether you feel he was right or wrong, it sounded like he was "passing the buck" with the comment about who was responsible for the energy in Sunday's game. Didn't like it. If it's not the head coach's responsibility to have his players ready to play come game time, whose is it?

We need to thank him for helping turn the ship around, but it's time to hand the wheel over to someone else to take us the rest of the way. Clean break.

Everybody keeps saying something like a GM position, which do they not understand what a GM does? A GM negotiates contracts for players, finds free agents and typically has the final say in drafting, coordinates the scouting department (which the Bengals are lacking), and manages the team's salary cap.

I agree that things like the drafts have been better for the Bengals while he's been here, but how much of that was just his opinions or insight or just plain luck? Look at how many busts we've had and how many contracts have been messed up, so why would you want Marvin in control of all that?
