Every team with an opening will be calling Eddie for sure. I think CovCath is a great fit for him, but money talks!! I hope the Colonels pay him enough to keep him in park hills for many many years.

That is a good question.

 

Unless the money was out of sight I would think anything other than a solid college job doesn't make any sense.

Didn’t he leave college for Cov Cath? I know it’s NAIA but it’s still college. Wouldn’t it of been just as easy to move up from there than from HS?

Not yet anyway. There have been coaches at Cov Cath with amazingly long tenures. I hope Park Hills remains a good place for him and his family to be a part of ours.

Moeller would be a big step up for Eviston - a real challenge with huge upside.

 

GCL and top tier D-I Ohio vs. 5A Kentucky? Not even close. If LaSalle opens up it's a similar opportunity even though they are D-II.

 

If the guy wants to take the next step at the HS coaching level this would be it. Oh - and I think Moe could find a little $ to make it worth his time.

 

It's also possible this job attracts more qualified, appealing candidates...

The way I understand it the move from Georgetown back to Cincinnati was because his wife has a very good job. She got a nice job in Cincinnati so they moved back here. If all that is true, then money may not be as critical. In my mind it is more about what Eviston wants to do. If he is looking at going to the college level, then Moeller could be attractive because it would be a step closer to a college job.

It will be very interesting to see where he lands and other things possibly.

Cov Cath is a better job than GTown.

Anyone have any insight into his teaching certifications? I could be wrong, but when he was at CovCath I think he met the requirements to be a Catechist(religion teacher) but Didn’t have a traditional teaching certificate.

 

If that’s still the case, I’d be surprised if he went anywhere outside of Cincinnati and the GCL.
