Williamstown

Arnie Risen- EKU->Ohio St.

There’s another from the late 80s/early 90s, Brian Milburn might have been his name. Finished HS at Russell or somewhere but he ended up at Vandy.

Pretty impressive list just from 4 or 5 Northern Ky schools and I know there are many more.

Thank you for that. A check of Vandy's Media Guide shows him lettering '09 - '12. My data skews 20th century, and I neglected to put a disclaimer on my post. Total is now at 13. Are we forgetting anyone?

Side note question - Is Aaron related to Randy?

Pendleton County

Keaton Belcher-Belmont

Talbert Turner-Morehead State

Bobby Wyatt-Louisiana Tech

Dubtown GOAT Arnie Risen, pictured here with former Celtics teammate and fellow NBA HoFer Bill Russell.

You're spot on with Bryan Milburn too. Four year letterman at Vandy. '92-'95.

Another Demon, Fred Hale, who holds the 10th highest career points total in the KHSAA record book, was on scholarship to UofL, but appears to have only played on the freshman team according to THIS media guide from 12/15/73. No records of him moving up to the varsity squad.

Sandwiched between Clem Haskins and Manual Forrest with 3,233 points. That's keeping good company.

I can’t fathom how he and others averaged so many points without the 3. Seems really impressive.

Marlington High School (not that anybody will know where that is)

Our claim to fame...Luke Witte '69 (Ohio State)

I thought this would be a fun thread right before the basketball season. I’ll start by naming players, school, and year graduated high school.

Bracken County/Brooksville

Warren Cooper- Morehead State (1939)

Clyde Cooper- Kentucky (1944)

Albert Cummins- Kentucky (1944)

Larry Wood- Eastern Kentucky (1955)

Dave Hampton- Winthrop (1974)

Austin Crawford- Morehead State (2017)

Was Bracken County a force in the late 30's and early 40's? 3 of those players went D1 during the war.

Somerset

Mark Fothergil Maryland

Pulaski

Reggie Hanson Kentucky

Shannon Fraley Louisville

Brian Sheppard Auburn

There may a couple of more that someone else can fill in.

Newport Catholic - Tim Barrows - Florida State - Same era as Dave Cowens????
