Freshman vs juniors or seniors. I would be willing to bet if he stayed to his Junior year those things wouldn't happen. So not sure why you would be glad he is leaving. I know we are so use to freshman, that we forget players do get better actually.

Cannot argue with your point at all! Candidly, we will see him as a 4 in the NBA, as he matures and develops his shot. Just don't see him becoming a rim protector or board banger without his motor getting out of idle. In fairness, 34 minutes wore him down pretty heavily.

Yup. Not in your camp.

Understand. Please see Post#271. Interesting Herald article this morning projected Bam as the last pick in the 1st Round.

It's funny because the one thing I've seen and heard all year about Bam is that no matter how the games going he's always going 100%. There is no question about his motor.

I have no question about Bam's motor or physical ability. I do question his instincts and court awareness.

Nobody calls a timeout in that situation, IMO. You just tied the game and are gonna give your opposition the opportunity to draw up a play to beat you? Nah...

I am with you on this one @TheDeuce, I do not think Cal got out coached, or Cal is a terrible in game coach, blah blah blah. Are there things he wanted to do differently, I am sure there are. Every coach will tell you that after any game. But at the end of the day, Carolina is a damn good team that made a GREAT play down the stretch of the game. Sometimes young kids get excited in the last moments of the game, you can see Bam and Briscoe do not sprint back after the made bucket but try to guard full court and that ended up hurting, along with Willis sagging off his guy to help the drive. UNC made a fantastic play at the end and knocked down a long(ish) shot at the buzzer. Sometimes, you just have to tip your cap, and start looking toward next year.

My Facebook feed yesterday was full of "The Refs suck", "Hard to win when it's 8 against 5", "The NCAA definitely wants an ACC team in the Final 4". You can count on it 95% of the time when Kentucky loses or is losing. It gets old and it's embarrassing. Sure there were some missed calls. There are missed calls every game, and it goes both ways. Sounding like a bunch of sore losers every time we lose probably ranks a little higher over the arrogance on why most people hate Kentucky.

Here is the problem that nobody thinks about. Those fans are at every school, the reason that you see so much of it is because the majority of the people that we all interact with are a fan of the same team. Duke fans, Louisville fans, UNC fans, they all complain but we do not have 500 of them on our timelines, etc. Are there terrible fans that cheer for UK that are sore losers? Definitely. But is it inflated a little bit because most of the people we surround ourselves with our Cats fans? I think so too. I am as big of a UK fan as anyone, but do I blame the officials for the loss? No. Do I think they missed some obvious fouls in the 1st half that hurt UK? Yes. But I do think there were some fouls that could have been called on UK also that they probably got away with.

At the end of the day, I don't think there are anymore bad apples that cheer for UK as compared to any other team, we just see it the most with UK because of where we are and the people we associate ourselves with.

Safe assumption that was probably the most expensive ticket in the entire tournament. Maybe even more so than the eventual championship game.

With the location of the Final Four I can see people being able to get in last minute for virtually nothing. Even from Eugene or Spokane most are going to fly to Glendale.

I was frustrated with Fox's first foul. I feel like I've seen that called an offensive foul a million times this year. I personally thought he defended the ball perfectly.

His second foul was stupid. Whether he believed he fouled him or not, you can't reach in there and give the official a chance.

I saw a replay of that foul last night, it sure looked as though he touched nothing but the ball on that foul, but don't take the chance when you just picked up a foul and Cal was just reaming the official out about that call, which probably didn't have the official in the best of moods at the time.

There were so many missed calls. Berry shoved the defended with his off hand at least 7 times in the game. It was finally called once. Bam got beat to death most of the game and they never did call anything...except when he scored and they called a weak over the back on him. The offensive basket interference was a bad call. The blocking foul on Fox was a bad call. Monk got destroyed on a cut once and nothing. Fox got dismantled at the end of the first half, then the ball went to a player who was standing out of bounds AND walked and still nothing. I could go on and on.

You can't let this go:

How about the play when Berry lost the ball out of bounds when he turned his ankle? No one on UK came close to touching the ball, but they gave it back to UNC.

I wish fans would stop bashing Higgins' on his business site.

That's not a good idea, probably have to see him again somewhere down the road. If he disliked UK or Cal before, this is not going to help.:sssh:

I hate both teams equally. There were missed calls on both sides as well as ticky tacky bad calls. It's the way this entire season has been. Blows me away some of you guys can actually blame the refs for the outcome.

On that play the ball grazed the back of Humphreys tricep. I thought the same thing but they showed a replay a couple minutes later that showed the ball grazing Humphreys arm.

Question for everyone. Whether it was justified or not, can anyone remember a NCAA tournament game with that much booing of officials over a 10-minute period like we saw at the end of the first half?

So I was born and raised in NC and have been a Tarheel fan all my life. However, I have now been in KY almost 29 years...quite a bit longer than my time spent growing up in NC (left home for the military at 18 and have not lived in NC since). People ask me all the time why I still like UNC and don't like UK, in their eyes that's how it should be, that I should be rooting for UK. After games like this and seeing the posts on social media and listening to the radio call in shows...does anyone really have to ask that question?

When I ask these same people the same question... if they moved to NC would they stop rooting for UK and be UNC or maybe Duke fans, I get a lot of hemming and hawing and comments like "well thats not the same". Really? Why isn't it? And by the way, I don't think they SHOULD drop their allegiance.

In my years here in KY I have found it much easier to root for UL as their fan base isn't nearly as hard to take as much (didn't say all) of the UK fan base is in basketball.

@NKYknowitall getting on any UK fan for being upset with the refs is cracking me up. Me thinks you should go back and read the national title game thread from last year.
