March 27, 20179 yr Jackson is just better than Monk. It is that simple. I disagree, and so do the people who evaluate talent for a living. Your strong dislike for Monk is confounding....
March 27, 20179 yr It was an even matchup and considering that Kentucky played two top 5 teams in 3 days, it's hard to knock the Wildcats...even for a Louisville fan. Who's knocking them? I already said it was pretty even, but that the better team (IMO) won when it mattered. I hope your poor attempt with a shot at Louisville made you feel better. :lol2:
March 27, 20179 yr Nobody made Cal sit Fox. There is no rule that requires guys to sit with two fouls. According to a series of articles by Ken Pomeroy, the evidence is spotty on whether sitting guys is good or bad. Cal adheres to the belief that guys should sit with two fouls. I tend to disagree with that coaching philosophy, and I think Kentucky would have benefited from getting Fox back into the game in the first half, but to each his own. I agree. He sat too long
March 27, 20179 yr Only calls I had an issue with were the Willis loose ball foul late in the first half, and then the "jump ball" call late when UNC raked it out of Bam's hands. If the Willis play was a foul, then there had to be a foul on the Bam play. I personally didn't see a foul on either, but if you call one, you have to call the other IMO. Other than that, I thought the officials were equally pathetic on both ends. Lots of no calls.

March 27, 20179 yr Jackson is just better than Monk. It is that simple. I'm not sure I agree, although when projecting professionally it may just depend on what a team is looking for. I was impressed with Jackson defensively yesterday.

Berry shoved the defended with his off hand at least 7 times in the game. It was finally called once. Bam got beat to death most of the game and they never did call anything...except when he scored and they called a weak over the back on him. The offensive basket interference was a bad call. The blocking foul on Fox was a bad call. Monk got destroyed on a cut once and nothing. Fox got dismantled at the end of the first half, then the ball went to a player who was standing out of bounds AND walked and still nothing. I could go on and on. You can't let this go: Twitter
March 27, 20179 yr Bye Felicia. :lol2: I'm not going to hijack this thread but I don't think it's the best time for Louisville fans to gloat over a UK loss.

Other than that, I thought the officials were equally pathetic on both ends. Lots of no calls. Kind of how I feel. I thought this game and the Wichita State game were reversions back to what made college basketball unwatchable, until the new "freedom of movement" rules were enforced. The one that really sticks in my mind is when Meeks had his arm around Bam going up for a shot in the first half. No clue how they missed that. Bam all season suffered from the Shaq and LeBron syndromes of being too large and not getting calls. Not until the last 10 games or so did he learn to play through it.

March 27, 20179 yr Okay, point them out? No need. I'm not gonna waste my time crying about officiating.
