I'd love to know why Purdue over Baylor, Houston, Cincy. Not sure we will ever find out but that intrigues me.

I thought I read somewhere that Neal Brown is on the WKU wish list. Anyone think he would take the WKU job if offered?

Houston and Cincy are lateral, IMO. A slight step up, sure. But Purdue gets you in a P5 conference. C-USA to the AAC isn't that attractive, I'm sure.

Baylor, I agree, would be more interesting to hear about.

I easily see this over UC or Houston. This is not the major conference team I would choose unless he is just fodder at Baylor because maybe Miles is the choice already. I am not sure if I wouldn't wait, but bird in hand with tons more $$ than WKU (more than likely), you can't blame him.

None of those Jobs are worth leaving WKU except maybe Cincy. Even though that Job is in a smaller conference past head coaches that had success got jobs at schools that can win (UT, Mich.St.). Purdue in my opinion is a career killer. Brohm will be Petrino's OC in 3/4 years. Some place you just cant win at. He will be recruiting against Mich, MSU, OSU, ND, and IU for players. Baylor would be like Strong at Texas. Go in clean up the culture be 6-6,5-7, and be replaced for the next hot coach. The lure of big money gets them every time. Im not sure he will make a whole lot more at Purdue than WKU. With all that said, Good luck to coach Brohm. He is a class coach. Hope he proves me wrong

Heard this late last week and then it faded. But seems real.

P5 job is hard to turn down.

For Purdue this is good hire for them. This will be a tough job for Brohm, but if he gets the time and support he has the offense to pull Purdue up.

Cincy and Houston not good enough to leave WKU for, and if he did interview with Baylor, it's possible too much is going on down there than what is being told to people.

Neal Brown would be a good hire for WKU, if that's the way they want to go.

6 year, $20MM

Hard to turn that down. Is that a little more than the going rate?

Staying close to home.

This makes that opener next year much more interesting.

I am a little sad for WKU but very happy for Coach Brohm.

Congrats Coach!

Ummm, that's some solid pocket change there.
