Steak and Shake

Featured Replies

LOVE Steak and Shake... The Frisco Melt and large fry are my go to late-nite meal.

The service is horrible 100% of the time at the location I frequent.

I like Steak and Shake ,but I like Flipdaddys better .

Sure it is. So is Zip's. Five Guys. Terry's. Etc. All of those places have burgers at least 2x the price. In their price-range, Steak N' Shake does just fine, in my opinion.

It's great at 3:00am after the bars close and you just want to wait an hour to get a Frisco melt served to you by someone on the job for their second night of both employment and being out of the clink.

Wow, just realized I have not been there in ages. I think the last time we were there, we were going to a movie down the street, and I don't think the theater's been there for awhile now.

To me - decent at best food , great shakes .

We must go to the same Steak and Shake. :lol2:

Love steak and shake, obviously it's not a 5 star burger joint, but it's probably my favorite fast food joint. Any idea when the one in Ashland is scheduled to open? I know it's a new model for the franchise, something about a completely open kitchen I believe, which has apparently slowed construction down.

I love Steak and Shake. Service is SLOW everywhere, including Somerset JD, which I've been to 3 times this summer. It is also Antarctica in the one in Somerset. BUT the food is great. Grandkiddos love it too.

Love me some steak and shake fries, I think they are the best and really having a hard time believing some people don't like them, unless they just don't like fries in general.

Good, tasty burgers, and as mentioned above, good baked beams which I get a lot with my meal when I eat there.

Service at most I have been to is from pretty slow to horribly bad. The one here in Frankfort can just be brutally bad at times. Why that seems to be the recurring theme at most of them I don't know.

If you consider steak and shake fast food...and I'm not quite sure that it is, but for arguments sake lets just say it is, then it's very high on the fast food burger joint list. Shakes are pretty good too.

Haven't been to S&S in ages but recently I've had the itch. I'm game for a $4 burger meal but not sure why I never stop there.

There is a steak and shake in one of the new dorms at UK. I used to love K-lair but that would have been a step up especially if 24 hrs. would have killed my meal card balance with late night shakes

It's cheap.

Service is usually awful. Burgers are what you'd expect for $4-$5 burgers. Shakes are solid.

This pretty much sums it up. $4 meals are all right for the money, shakes are pretty decent.

Used to like Steak & Shake years ago when service and cleanliness counted. It just isn't the same restaurant from years ago. Quality standard has sunk.

A freaking grease pit. If you like your burgers to drip grease as you eat then go there.
