Whether it was in high school or college, what class was the most useless for you?

 

Pre-Calculus here. At least in Advanced PE I learned how to keep score for Bowling.

 

What is yours?

Spanish in high school.

 

Calculus based Physics class in college.

Latin.

French, but the teacher was hottttttttttttttt.

Recreational Sports (a January short-term class).

 

The only thing I really remember was we played ping pong.

Sex ed my last year in college. Though it was a fun class, I already knew it all...then some.:sneaky:

All of my high level math classes have been pretty useless. While I don't use many of the general ed courses I took, classes like sociology, psychology etc, all I think were useful in the sense that those classes made me more knowledgeable and well rounded.

Sex Ed. Spent the whole semester asking when I would use the info.

College: PE (EKU forced all Freshmen to take PE and buy those very short maroon nylon shorts and PE T-Shirt from the book store) Spent more time walking to the various locations on campus than we did in class

 

High School: Mythology (each year from soph to senior year we had one nine weeks where we could take an English "Elective") Even though I really like the class and reading Homer, except for a few episodes of Jeopardy viewed from my couch, I've never had a practical need for it.

Greek in college. Used it to satisfy my foreign language requirement. It is, however, my proudest A of all-time. I gambled that the professor would use the last passage covered in class as our final, where we would be translating text. I memorized the whole passage and finished in 5 minutes when that was what he used. I learned NOTHING.

I took Greek for about 3 weeks in college. Or better stated, Greek took me for about 3 weeks in college.

French in High School, absolutely pointless that I had to take a 2nd language.

 

My sociology class in college was dumb, but granted I didn't pay any attention.

Now that I've been out in the real world...I'm not totally convinced that college isn't a scam.

In terms of daily use and utility - calculus.
