Bolden will announce his college decision Thursday | Lexington Herald-Leader

Five-star basketball recruit Marques Bolden is finally ready to announce his college decision.

After an initial tweet from Bolden’s high school Monday afternoon that the player’s much-anticipated announcement would come Tuesday morning, DeSoto (Texas) Athletics Director Larry Davis told the Herald-Leader that Bolden will actually reveal his college choice Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET during a ceremony at the high school gym.

I've tried pretty hard to avoid following his decision, but I will admit, it's been hard for me not to. Finger crossed that it's not a great day for @PurplePride92 & @GrizzlyAdams.

I'm good either way. I just hope he is solid with his choice and has a great college career. Two great options for him to have.

Since he's making his decision on Thursday, he'll be free to change his mind if he wants. Deadline to sign a LOI is tomorrow.

Age old discussion. Don't know why any of these kids sign that silly thing.

Yeah the whole 1 year of it!

He made his decision then Ms. Boucher called called UK the Devil.

It's amazing in today's world of internet and social media how some of these young men can keep their choice secret right up to the announcement. Not many can do that but Bolden has been very good at keeping his thoughts in a small inner circle of family and friends.

I usually look into his story once a week. I thought he was supposed to make his decision some time last month.

Lee has cancelled his NBA workouts which could mean he's thinking of staying in school. That might be why Bolden changed to Thursday.

Same here. We don't really need him, but would only make us a deeper team and would be nice to have.

Will his announcement be anywhere on social media?

Not sure. I'd say as soon as he makes it public it will be all over Twitter though.

LOI has to be signed by Wednesday night. I suspect we will know tomorrow.

Has he said he's going to sign one?

Has he said he's going to sign one?

I don't think anyone knows at this point (except for Bolden).
